enjoyed hunting for various objects and earning points
At the end of the game, we gave her a certain amount of money for each point. Before the trip, she could have purchased souvenirs and snacks. I recommend this book to all my 6th and 8th graders.

This was such a fun way for us to explore DC
It was such a fun way to explore DC, said Blair. Our kids were engaged and focused and we were able to see and learn so much because they were excited to complete another mission, Mrs. O'Neill said. Our children are 5 and 7 and we were able to complete 11 missions and a few Anytime Missions covering a good portion of DC and things that were interesting to them, Mr. Dhaliwal said. It was a blast, said Blair. We will definitely keep this series of books in mind for our travels in the future.

   MUST HAVE!
It was the absolute best book we could have asked for. We went on vacation in mid June of 2021, and everything was still closed, or very limited to visitors, inside. This book absolutely led us through DC with all of the outside monuments and memorials, keeping us busy and interactive, Morgenthau said. My 10 year old daughter led the way, between this book and Google maps, she took control of the trip and found confidence in directing. I would absolutely buy more if the same books were available in other cities.

this is a must for family trips to DC
It was a blast, said Blair. It allowed both of my daughters to be more interactive on a few tours, especially the Capital tour. A few items in the book are no longer on permanent display at the American History Museum but you can't expect to see or find everything when they do renovations and all. I would definitely recommend this book to families looking to tour DC without setting an agenda or short trips. The educational value alone made it fun for the adults as well.

Fun way to explore and learn
My son absolutely loved using this book on our recent trip to Washington, D.C. He also loved pretending he was a secret agent looking for information. On our private Capital Building Tour, our guide was totally impressed with the book and how involved our son was not only in looking for the stuff in the book but also learning extra facts that he couldn't find back and tell his classmates as they begin their first year of History in school. As kids we had no complaints of tired feet or boring things being boring, Mr. Dhaliwal said. It was a game, he didn't realize how much he had learned until we talked about it later.

   Interesting and fun
We have tried many scavenger hunt type books with our grandchildren while visiting Washington, and we still haven't found what we are looking for. This was the best book of all time, by far. It was updated and included all of the newest monuments. It also had other buildings, including the National Archives, that were not included in the book. It was interesting and challenging, but not so difficult that the search took over, Mr. Kennedy said. It was a blast, said Blair, who played the part of a spy. My granddaughter has aced the multiplication tables by reading the book. The book is a must-have for anyone who wants to improve their English.

   Not worth it
What I found most disturbing is that the book was written with the intention of creating a stir among children. It was poorly laid out and confusing, even for a seasoned lawyer, Morgenthau said.

   Enhanced our DC experience
We just got back from our trip to Washington DC and this book was so much fun for our 7 year old. He was very competitive in finding all of the items that were listed, which kept him very engaged, said Dr. Goin. I would recommend this to anyone, and would be interested in buying books for other travel sites.

Must have for kids visiting DC
My daughter absolutely loved it, even though we were visiting Washington, D.C. She was engaged with the book and her surroundings, and had the entire family helping her look for specific items, he said. If your vacation is centered around your kids, this is a must have. We wanted our kids to get the most out of the visit, Raymond said. Already planning to visit again, she said.

   Great fun!
I bought this for my son and nephew before they went to Washington this summer. It was a blast, said Blair. Before we went there, we reviewed each place in the book so we'd know what to look for and it made them excited for each mission. It was great to be back together, said Dr. Steve Bair, director of NASA's Ames Research Center in California. Now that it's all filled, we've kept it for a lifetime memory of our trip.
