From the critically acclaimed author of Allegedly, Tiffany D. Jackson, comes a gripping novel about the mystery of one teenage girl's disappearance and the traumatic effects of the truth.
Monday Charles is missing, and only Claudia seems to notice. Claudia and Monday have always been inseparable--more sisters than friends. So when Monday doesn't turn up for the first day of school, Claudia's worried.
When she doesn't show for the second day, or second week, Claudia knows that something is wrong. Monday wouldn't just leave her to endure tests and bullies alone. Not after last year's rumors and not with her grades on the line. Now Claudia needs her best--and only--friend more than ever. But Monday's mother refuses to give Claudia a straight answer, and Monday's sister April is even less help.
As Claudia digs deeper into her friend's disappearance, she discovers that no one seems to remember the last time they saw Monday. How can a teenage girl just vanish without anyone noticing that she's gone?

Whew! Whew! The entire read had me on the edge of my seat. You begin to feel like you are in the story the way the author describes scenes, and you will almost instantly connect with Claudia and Monday. Would love to see this transformed into a film one day.

This book will take you through a whirl wind of emotions. Frustration, sadness, pride. Tiffany D. Jackson paints a beautiful picture of childhood friendship, loss and innocence, while forcing the audience to face the harsh realities of what it means to be a young black girl in a world where systems and people fail you or just fail to hear you.

Today, my new book came to me, looking like it had passed through hell and high water I understand that this book was not expensive. I do, however, like for my books to remain in presentable condition. This book looks crazy.

At the same time, me and my friend read this book. I finished it not too long ago and was a very heart felt story! The author's childhood friend was missing when they were young, but her friend is fine Fyi ''. I love that she dedicated it to the missing black little girls in DC! They will never be forgotten.

AMAZINGLY UNFORGETTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First, I would recommend this book to women and men of color. The cultural connection to some of the language and the way that Monday and Claudia grow up is enriching OUR culture. But I would also recommend this to those working in the government! This book reminds us of the inequality in socioeconomics, mental health, schools and the justice system that we see each and every day! Anyone who works in these fields needs to read this book! Anyone who works in these fields, needs to read this book! '' Literally at the end of the book in tears. Unforgettable! Unforgettable!

Waste of time and energy I can never get back!
Derived From Web , Apr 14, 2020
I am an avid reader and can usually get through a book within two days at most a week. This book was so backwards and forwards that it took me six months to eight months to complete. I am very disappointed in the ending of the story. The excerpts on the back of the book could not be more false. The first 70% of the book is confusing, though it is amazing that it keeps you guessing. When what actually happened to Monday, Surfaces that is where it gets tricky. That is where the story becomes horrible, just thrown together. The story from the beginning to the middle to the end does not mesh well, it feels like three different books. The ending didn 't really make sense for the beginning to be so suspenseful. This is the second book I purchased from this author and I will never buy a third.
