I cannot say enough good things about this book

This summer my husband and I went to the glacier and could not have done it without this book! I was able to plan our hiking and adventuring week, AND our backpacking trip all out of this book. And let me tell you that I HAVE NEVER HAD A NATIONAL PARKS - Adventure SO SMOOTHLY GO. We have been all over the country and used multiple guidebook brands, but Moon is amazing. I don 't know if it is because my mind works just fine with this format, but I HIGHLY recommend.

Not worth your money
Derived From Web , Aug 30, 2021
We looked at this book barely. The book is clear and there is no cluttered information about the hikes we wanted to do. The only plus side is the great pictures in this book... but not enough to compensate for the lack of content. Not spent your money on.

Useful. Not enough for hike planning by itself.

This book covers a lot of ground and is useful in that way. For planning a hike, I think you need more detail, so perhaps another book for this purpose, but this gives a very good start for getting the lay of the land.

Everything you need to know is here!

Author Becky Lomax gives an organized and detailed outline of everything you need to know about Glacier in an accessible guidebook that was our ready reference! We used her book to plan our trip, keep it in the car for the entire time we are in Glacier and will keep it as part of our priceless memory of our time there! Our whole family, including my 20-year-old mother's experience, was strengthened because of this guide.

Not just a trail guide? YES.

I read a review of this book that complained that this book had too much that it wasn't about hiking in it. I bought it so. It is packed with useful info about area shopping, eating, lodging and activities other than hiking. It also discusses Glacier National Park, and it's hiking trails. The book is a useful companion to my trail guides and served me well during my visit.
