Book Overview

In the little city of Flint, MI, the good die young and the people left standing are the grimiest of characters. With reign over the city's drug trade, Benjamin Atkins made sure that his precious daughter, Raven, was secluded from the grit that the city had to offer. But when Raven's young heart gets claimed by Mizan, a stick-up kid in search of a come-up, there's nothing Benjamin can do about losing her to the streets. She chooses love over loyalty and runs off with Mizan, but her new role as wifey soon proves to be more than she can handle.

Puppy love always feels right, but things turn stale, and she soon finds that everyone she loves has disappeared. All she has is Mizan, but when hugs and kisses turn to bloody lips and black eyes, she realizes that Mizan is not who she thought he was.

Raven becomes desperate for a way out, but this time, Daddy can't save her. Every time she finds the courage to leave, fear convinces her to stay. Like a moth to a flame, Raven is drawn to Mizan, even though she knows he'll be the death of her. When the hood life she chose becomes unbearable and the only way out is in a coffin, what will she do?

   Awesome Read.....Highly Recommend!!!!!
After reading Moth to a Flame, Ashley Antoinette stole the number one spot on my favorite street lit authors'list! I was a lil disappointed in the ending, especially after all the Raven went through, but it didn't take away from the never-ending action's adventure, the steamy sex scenes and the edge of your seat suspense! I loved this story so much that I read this book 3 times! In my life, I need a man like Ethic! Ashley does a great job, keep giving it to us just like that!

   AWESOME...Book Club Loved It
Ashley did her thang once again. I love all Ashley's books by Jaquavis. Now they are doing solo projects and to me they show the bomb together and by themselves. A person who did not get a chance to read it was a person who did not get a chance to write it. But while there, listening to everyone else talk about. She said that she felt like she was watching a movie. That is how good this book was. I'll be honest, Raven, pissing me off the way she was so simple minded. But there are so many simple minded people in the world, so I did not let that stop me from finishing the book. I read the book Jaquavis solo well part 2 now. The Dopefiend and he hasnt yet disappointed me. Now Prada with Ashley Plan 2 comes on. I can not wait to read it. Love ya girl, keep it up.

   Emotionally griping
This was my first book in 20 years. I read it in 3 days and could have read it in 2 days, but I had to take care of myself and my loved ones. I really didn't want to stop reading so all of that annoyed me. The author articulated each word in a way that made me feel better. I'm familiar with the people of the world because I'm a woman of a particular age. It was delivered on every level a woman needed or wanted a man. I can't wait to read it. I would like to thank you for giving me an escape from my dull life and for stimulating my mind to read more. I enjoyed the movie. I read this book because of my niece. 9.8.21

   Lifestyle crime won't pay
None the less, it took me by surprise in a lot of content. Pretty interesting find out Raven and her circle of friends. Her father and mother were regarded for the influence they had on the community at large. A quote from the book Loyalty, Life and Death '' transcends. And my favorite quote by Raven's mommy : As long as you treat yourself like a lady, then you will have to treat everyone around you like one. The narrative is well written and quickly-paced, describing a life of drugs and crimes, but there are lessons to learn from it. 1. At the end, Mizen got what he deserved. I couldn 't help, but admired Ethic and aunt Dot, as they lent this work of fiction to and end. It is a mature read for a good audience.

   Lifestyle crime won't pay
This is a different genre to read. It took me by surprise in a lot of the content. I was exposed to another type of lifestyle while reading. Raven and her friends were interesting to me. The influence they had on the community at large was respected by her father and mother. There is a quote from the Loyalty book. Everyone around you will have to treat you like one if you conduct yourself like a lady. There are lessons to be learned from the narrative that describes a life of drugs and crime. # 1 is the number. It does not pay for crime. In the end, Mizen got what he deserved. I appreciated the work of fiction that Ethic and aunt Dot brought to an end. It's a good read for mature people.

   FLAME
The story held my attention and I chose the rating. At times, I think Raven's character was unrealistic. A person would have died early in the story of all the injuries. I gave 4 stars instead of 5. You did a good job of describing the life of hustlers. There is good and bad. What a terrible life to choose to live! I usually put a book down with explicit sex scenes and the constant calling of women " bitches". The writers storyline quickly drew me in and I was eager to find out what was going to happen next.

   FLAME
I chose the rating because the story held my interest definitely. I do think that at times, Raven's character was unrealistic. One would have described early in the story of all the injuries succumbed. This is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. The bad and the good. What a hideous life to choose to live! '' Typically, I put down a book with this much profanity and described sex scenes... and of course the constant calling women bitches like it is their birth name. But the storyline of the writer drew me quickly and I was eager to find out what could possibly happen next.

   Very good read
I have been hearing so much about the ethic series, and in my mind, we go again another good girl nurse in love with a man, run off happily ever after, but after a while, I gave in and read the book, because I wanted to know more about the story. The book was everything I said it was. A good read finally. I felt bad for raven at times because it had me at full attention from the beginning to the end. It took Ethic a long time to get Mizan. The pure devil was Mizan. The Ethic series should be just as good. I think teenage girls should know what happens when they grow up. I feel like the character of the mother could have been written differently. The book is a 10 stars. Some years have seen the best urban fiction read. Thank you for changing it.
