My 11 month old granddaughter received this book as a Christmas gift. I wanted the tradition to continue because her Daddy and 4 Uncles loved it. I felt like I was getting back at them because they loved it so much and Mooing with the story became too much. The boardbook is sturdy and well made and should last through a lot of readings. My sons were 6 months to 10 years old when this book was a winner, so I wanted my son to be a part of the learning experience. The rhyming and pictures keep them interested.

It's Dr. Seuss!
Derived From Web , Oct 26, 2021
I like the board books by Dr. Seuss. My grandson's books stand up to the rough treatment. He is learning how to take care of books, and it's never too early to encourage a love of books. When he's ready to share his books, one has to be ready to read with him.

Classic

The book is small for babies and toddlers to hold. Some reviews say it's not the full book, but I think it's a good bridge into books for kids who are younger or have less attention spans. If your child loves it and always wants more of it, then you could phase it from this one to the full big book.

Purchased hardcover, received board book
Derived From Web , Apr 10, 2021
We were sent a small board book, not the 36 page hardcover book described in the description. The board book was an option, but not what we chose. It wasn't worth the price. Caution should be used when buying with caution.

Classic in a well constructed board book format
Derived From Web , Feb 23, 2020
I grew up with this in a traditional format, but board books are the worst. It's perfect for our 1yr old grandbitty to toss around independently or for us to sit and read together.

Holds a special place in my heart.
Derived From Web , Apr 12, 2019
My favorite book for toddlers is Dr. Suess's book. A silly, fun story. Excellent rhyming and repetition. Not long at all. There are illustrations on each page. A good book to start reading to your child. My oldest son is 20 years old and I still remember the fun we had reading this book. When he was 2 years old, I read the first part of the book to him and he recreated the sound and actions we had made up for it, I purchased another book for him when he was 4 years old. I like it. Babies and toddlers love reading books. Every baby shower gift I give, I put this book in it. Mr. Brown can Moo, Can You? I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Rain sounds like what??
Derived From Web , Sep 8, 2018
I'm all for introducing my child to sounds, but I'm also aware that it's difficult to spell the sound of rain. It's a board book which I like for my little one and it's small for small hands, but maybe that means the child should be interested in more spellable sounds via books and they can learn what rain sounds like by hearing rain? There are many sounds in the book that you can pronounce. It's not bad. I skipped the rain page.

Mr brown is a strange man.
Derived From Web , Aug 5, 2018
I can't tell Mr brown that some of his noises aren't very good. When you're like this guy, he goes and knocks it out of the park with his imitation of a rhino chewing gum. Its position is on. His impression of lightning is not great. What is the name of the street? His work was not his best.

Small book!
Derived From Web , Apr 30, 2018
I bought the board book as a gift for a friend and I think I should have considered the book's dimensions more closely. The book is not big. It is not misleading, but it is still a small book. The book is very sturdy and seems to last a long time. The pictures of Dr. Seuss books are always entertaining, and I have fond memories of reading them as a child.
