A great sequel to Because of Mr. Terupt!

I read the book Because of Mr. Terupt at the beginning of the school year as a sixth grade teacher. It is truly amazing. It depicts many different types of students, and is told in different ways. All kids can relate to some of the characters. Many people wanted to read this sequel, so I bought a few copies. They were passed around from student to student. As they go through 6 th grade, Mr. Terupt's students continue to grow and change. The second book is a bit more edgier than the first. Many middle schoolers face topics such as boys, alcohol, and cigarettes. Take care of each other, the messages are clear. Everyone can make changes. Do you believe in yourself?

Awesome sequel
Derived From Web , Feb 8, 2022
I will not soon forget this book. The story is lovable and touching. Full of joy, fun, and sadness. This is a story that will stay in your mind for a long time. Each character has a problem. Lexi gets into over her head, some boys and girls start getting crushes, and everyone sticks together like friends should. Enjoy another fun year with Mr. Terupt and the whole class.

Review from Grandpa
Derived From Web , Dec 18, 2020
My children's children liked this. I read it to them. Like the other Mr. Terupt books, it's aimed at the kids. The subject of one's first period is a prominent one. The story about Native Americans' land rights was not handled well and left an ambiguous impression about the conflict that is at the center of America's treatment of native peoples. It was added to the plot but I felt it was trivial.

When a teacher walks into your life, you never forget them, even if they are rare. Let the magic begin. Those that don't like reading will find it hard to put down the three books in the series because they will have to pay for them all. H. is a woman.

Read all Three!
Derived From Web , Jul 26, 2020
This is the second book in a trilogy. I am not a big reader but this series has caught my attention. I work in a middle school and can relate. The third book is about to start. I think we all had a teacher like Mr. Terupt.

Mature for the age is says it is for
Derived From Web , Mar 31, 2017
Well... I'm 10 years old. I discovered after reading the book that their would be some disturbing parts. They talk a lot about puberty for girls, but I'm not even smelling yet. I am disturbed that a guy wrote a book and talks about puberty like he did. It doesn't make sense that he can talk about how the girls want to get attention by stuffing their bra. No girl would do that. The author gets to say we do it for a boy. No one is that dumb. I think it was a mistake to say that it was okay for 9 year olds. I can't read that stuff! Don't give this book to a kid that isn't mature enough for it. They are having to drink and smoke. These things are for people who have been in the FLE for two years or more. It is a good book.

Mr. Terupt Falls Again By Rob Buyea
Derived From Web , Mar 27, 2017
Mr. Terupt Falls Again is a good follow up to Because of Mr. Terupt. Many people think the content is not appropriate for children. It shows us what to expect in life and who our friends are. I wouldn't expect you to read this book if you were sensitive about drugs and alcohol. The first book is for younger kids, while this one is more mature. The book was amazing. A girl in 4 th grade has a review.
