The incomparable Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle loves children good or bad and never scolds but has positive cures for Answer-Backers, Never-Want-to-Go-to-Bedders, and other boys and girls with strange habits. '[Now] in paperback . . . for a new generation of children to enjoy.' 'San Francisco Examiner Chronicle.
Meet Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle! She's the kind of grown-up you would like to have for a friend-and all her friends are children. She is a little lady with brown sparkly eyes. She lives in an upside-down house, with a kitchen that is always full of freshly baked cookies. Her husband was a pirate, and she likes to have her friends dig in the back yard for the pirate treasure he buried there.
Best of all, she knows everything there is to know about children. When a distraught parent calls her because Mary has turned into an Answer-Backer or Dick has become Selfish or Allen has decided to be a Slow-Eater-Tiny-Bite-Taker, Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle has the answer. And her solutions always work, with plenty of laughs along the way.
So join the crowd at Mrs. Piggle Wiggle's house-and enjoy the comical, common-sense cures that have won her so many friends.

This is a very good read and my seven-year-old son loved the different stories
Derived From Web , Feb 8, 2022
I got a book for my son. Since he is getting older, we switch to Junior chapter books at night. My seven- year- old son loved the different stories in this read. You can read one chapter a night. I had to explain the meaning of some of the words to my son because they are out of date in this old- fashioned book. It didn't take away from the story but it made us talk about it more and the time that these words were used. We have gotten through most of the series so far. We enjoyed reading the book and it was in very good condition.

Wonderful stories for our family. So Many giggles so much fun to listen to.
Derived From Web , Oct 31, 2021
These are stories that our family cherishes. We enjoy reading and listening. Everyone can relate to life lessons. Fun and silly with a bit of magic and some good laughs. Every kid knows that these stories are similar to some of the characters. We can listen or read these stories over and over again and not get bored. I see smiles on my child's face when the funny parts come up. Every night we get a dose of Mrs Piggle Wiggle. It was great for the whole family.

A bit dated
Derived From Web , Sep 20, 2021
I read the book to my kids. Her cures are scary for young children. They had a lot of questions that they weren't ready to discuss, but they always wanted to read more. It might be better for older kids. A lot of the stories seemed like child abusenegligence because of the changes in parenting. It didn't seem like it was funny at all. I remember the book well from my childhood and maybe it just didn't age well.

Spanking?!!?
Derived From Web , Nov 5, 2020
It's not certain. The book talks about physical punishment, but new books wouldn't talk about it. There are different stories that are not connected to each other. My 8 years old found some parts amusing but I didn't find them funny. If your child is not the type to ask, he will just read past the meaning of the words, because they are very complicated for young kids. This is the first time I' ve bought this series and I'm not sure if I' ll buy more.

Childhood Favorite
Derived From Web , Sep 8, 2019
I bought this for my grandson because he really liked meeting Mrs. Piggle Wiggle. The libraries don't seem to have these books anymore, even though they were some of my favorite books as a child. I'm very happy that Amazon does. I was happy that my grandson liked this one and was interested in getting another, because he isn't very into books. I' ve ordered the second in the series for him.

Great Book!
Derived From Web , Jul 21, 2017
My 8 year old daughter loves this book. It holds her attention well and is about the right reading level for her. The story line is cute and each chapter has morals lessons. She can read a chapter without me, and I can jump back in and not feel like I missed anything. Each chapter is its own story and not connected to the next.

Magic for your youngsters' symptoms? Read on.
Derived From Web , May 29, 2017
With cures like whisper sticks for whispering and show- off powder for the corresponding symptoms, this book is hard to beat. As a parent, it's fun to read to my little person and heshe loves to read it to himself. There may be some objections from parents regarding the conveyed parental methodology but the magic involved with symptom curing is fun and funny.
