Poetry with a beat!
Derived From Web , May 27, 2022
I love this book absolutely! But then add a kind of freestyle rhyme to his thoughts as he shares his current mood and I was enthralled and reading with a big grin. I can 't wait to work with both my boys on a moody writing project. This is the kind of book that surpasses entertainment into inspiration. I want to go old school, break the computer and leave the notebook paper and yellow number two's. I almost forgot to mention the illustrations... fun and matched the story perfectly!

I love using this book to introduce discussion about feelings with ...
Derived From Web , May 27, 2022
I love using this book to introduce a discussion about feelings with my students. It also provides a natural early introduction to the metaphor. Though not all of the feelings in the book are compared to Foods, my students are always motivated to create their own food comparisons by thinking about their favorites or least favorites, and a feeling that might relate.

It was more like a poetry book that didn't rhyme
Derived From Web , May 27, 2022
This book was borrowed from the library. It was more like a poetry book that did not rhyme. We didn 't care for it. We aren 't the artsy type perhaps.

Fun feelings book!
Derived From Web , Dec 6, 2017
Great Emotional Identification Book for Little Emotional! I love asking prek-1st grade students to “guess†what mood he is in from the colors she describes and have them discuss. A great follow-up activity is to ask children to draw a color and to pick a picture of one of their moods. Love also that it shows a family of color, which is unfortunately not always easy to find.

Feelings... nothing more than feelings...
Derived From Web , Mar 5, 2017
It follows the day of a typical boy and the different things that happen in a little day. The book is written in prose poetry and the language is very supportive of all feelings as long as nobody is hurt. It is okay to enjoy time with yourself as well as to be with others. Sometimes, your family members are kind of jerky to you, especially siblings, but they still love you. Message - Feelings are natural and normal.
