An excellent addition to our home learning
This encyclopedia was bought as an additional learning tool. loves it. One might want to read short one-pagers about everything. We get stuck on the volcanoes page all the time, but it introduces a kid from seasons, mountains, gardening to continents and so on. I wasn't sure if it was going to be our evening reads, but I was wrong. Our tot has been asking for it since we bought it and I'm happy she wants to learn all the pages. It's colorful and informative like any encyclopedia. We'll be back to this one for a while.

Might be important to consider who this book acknowledges as important....
We received the book as a gift because I was so excited about it. The layout and images are beautiful, but let's be realistic. The section featuring important individuals looks like it comes from a western textbook. How is it possible that all of the scientists we want our children to study are white? Really, in all of human history? I don't want to put my world view into my child's mind, I'm white Something to think about if you care about the way history is presented to young people.

   Very attractive
I will give this to my grandson. The illustrations are eye catching. A nice ribbon book marker is built in. There are two pages for topics. I wish I had given it to him when he was 5, however words are easy to read and he will enjoy it in a couple of years.

The Book’s Title Really Says It All
My grandson loves to read. He sat down and looked through the gift. Each set of pages contains a wide range of topics. They have a book mark attached to their place. It is his go-to book when he wants to learn something. The information is age appropriate and interesting. There are illustrations that are eye catching. The book was a great find. If you have a child who is very curious, give him this book. You'll be happy you did.

   Overall decent product
Columbus is not a great explorer, he was sent to jail for spreading lies, and this is the only issue of the book. Children need to know the truth.
