Best secular self-help book I've ever read
Derived From Web , May 19, 2022
I am not a fan of Court TV because I don 't think that feeding my cynicism is good for me, so complimented her on Facebook, got the ebook from Amazon, read half and ordered the paperback for a friend, while I've been reading. Judge Toler is not only an emotional genius, but also an excellent writer, and her analysis of what she sees and what she does about it is full of down to Earth examples, including some from her own life that gave me a deeper insight into herself. And I think so also into others. Her diction is also down to Earth. She is funny on top of everything else. This is one of those books that I hate and will have to read again and again.

Good story
Derived From Web , May 19, 2022
I loved getting to know this side of Judge Toler, as I am a big fan of her TV show. The tone is great and her background is shocking. However, what I did not like was that she seemed to have written it in writing book form as if her mother looked over her shoulders. She made many and plenty of excuses and even commended her mother for the abuse she put up. The rules were very good and, contrary to a few other reviewers, I actually liked the structure of the story. Nevertheless, they were entertaining. I laughed, nodded and highlighted a few points. Overall, a good book.

Life-changing Read
Derived From Web , Apr 12, 2021
I found her words open, honest, humble, engaging, mostly well paced, very deep, conscientious and humorous. Whether you have had a positive past or a relatively turbulent life, I believe that there are life lessons for everyone in this book. From healing and managing emotions to parenting goals and romantic relationship insights to high life goals and dealing with the macro environment, there is so much here to live. If only one third of what she tries to teach readers was taught in every home and schools, the world would be so incredibly different.

Despite so much internal turmoil, she managed so much. The common sense rules made me evaluate my life, family, career, area of service, all relationships. I have revived this book and am ready to buy a copy for a family member.
