   A really great story set in a horrific time and location
A well developed cast of supporting characters makes this a page turner. I really looked forward to going back to this story as my busy days ended, he said. It does not dwell on the horrors of the past, but is from the point of view of non-Jews in Poland. This gives more realism to the characters and story. I recommend this book to anyone.

   Writing style very elementary
I was very interested in reading this book, especially since it was based on a true story, about a woman who hides two families and a soldier for two years without them knowing each other. It's great to see the kids back home, said Dr. Evans, director of the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. As I read it, I kept feeling that I had accidentally purchased a book intended for a child—and I mean an elementary-school-aged child. I didn't mind that the book was short or that the chapters were short but there was no depth to the writing nor to the characters. Even a fifth grader could not recommend this book to an adult.
