Perfect beginning of the year book!

Mo Willems did it again! Even when I read them out loud, they are still as statues as if there were a pin drop. Some of my friends get upset when their friend plays with someone else. Great job, Mr. Willems.

My 4 year old LOVES the book. Not only is she a huge fan of the show, but she also said that De Niro was a big fan of the Coens. Between borrowing them from the library and owing them back, we've gone through the series so far. Very good book for early readers. They are so witty, I actually enjoy reading them with her for an hour or two every day! We read the series so frequently that my 18 months old will out-scream when she sees anything that resembles them. It's embarrassing at time, Mr. Rule told the judge. I actually brought a few for friends whose kids do not like to read and have received positive feedbacks so far, Rodale said.

Mo Willems is the bomb

I still get excited when I hear the stories of Piggie and Gerald. The characters stay true to themselves and the kids truly get to know them, making character study easy. Also, the characters have lots of facial expressions and the stories are very funny, but can be understood in several ways. This allows for my students to do some inferring, which they do on their own because they love the stories so much.

I never heard of these books until my daughter went to the library and picked this book for her 6 year old sister. It was the we are in a book and let me tell you she absolutely LOVED it and so did I, Morgenthau said. Both of us were very hard readers. She picked up the first ELPHANT and PIGGIE book when she was 12. She absolutely loves these books and do so I. I highly recommend Dr. Goin's and Dr. Abraham's products. Very nice books, said Blair.

Hysterical series!

I have been buying all of these series for myself because they are hysterical, but I use them in my 2nd grade classroom to teach and practice reading dialogue, character voices, punctuation, partner-reading, and other skills. I also use them with my struggling readers to get them excited about reading. Even though they are so easy, my students beg to read them.

We have around 15 Elephant and Piggie books, Simon says. It's somewhere in the middle between my most and least favorite. My kids love the drama and jokes and this book teaches a great lesson that your friends can have other friends too — it doesn't mean they don't like you. A great book, Gillian.
