I am a teacher of first grade who loves to teach poetry. I tried to use this poem by Robert Louis Stevenson, but there were a lot of images and phrases that went beyond the student's imagination. The wonderful pictures of Glenn Lang in this book bring this classic to life for children. Great tool for teaching Rhyming, rich vocabulary, word families, science and art.
