   Beloved bedtime reading
I can not explain why my one-year-old loves so much this book, but he does. During the last year, we borrowed so many times from the library that we finally got his own copy for Christmas. If we read it from the library, it is the only thing he wants to have. If we have to give it back, he talks about it and repeats snippets from memory to himself. I thought it was an odd book at first -- so different from what I expected, I suppose -- but I have come to enjoy it very much myself. Another reviewer said it grows on you and I agree. It is a gentle, calm world filled with the kind of observations a child would make, in the way a child would express them. It also generated a lot of fruitful conversation with my son about family relationships, about the rhythms of the day, about the way things used to be. I am happy to add this to my permanent collection and I know that my son will also be there.

   Not really for us
Like just about everyone who bought this book, we ordered it because my daughter absolutely LOVES Goodnight Moon. This book was just strange. It kind of goes through and compares my things to Mommy and Daddy's things. I hated it the first time I prepared it, but it has started to grow on me. My daughter does not mind it and will sit through it, but I think it is only because the illustration is so familiar. When she sees specific things that were also in Goodnight Moon, she tells them goodnight and quotes from the other book, I wouldn t buy this again... EDIT I bump my review from 2 to 4 starts. My daughter now refuses to read Goodnight Moon without following it to My World.

   It's No Good Night Moon
Cute book, but our little is not as into it as Good Night Moon. We were hoping that he would at least love it half as much, but he is not interested in it yet. It is a bit wordy, so that if he is a little older, it will grow on him.

   Blah
My daughter bought Goodnight Moon, so I loved this one for her. It is not a hit. One of those books that you read two or three times and then is never picked up again.

   classic
Kid bought for friends and he loves it. He was so crazy about Goodnight Moon that we found a T-shirt with this printed on the front and he wears it and reads the book.

   Strange book
Very strange book ''. I and my 3 year old granddaughter, LOVE Goodnight Moon. However, this one is very scattered and in my opinion really weird. Just not my taste.

   Must have!
This book is must have if you like Goodnight Moon. It is a little different because it is more in the format of a poem, but still very cute! My 1 year old daughter will always grab this book and put it in my lap so that I can read it to her.

My child's favorite book is Goodnight Moon
Goodnight Moon is my child's favorite book and is Goodnight Moon's favorite book. This book is real and has no strange story. Only random : Neither one of us is interested in it.

   Just ok
My daughter enjoys Margret Wise Brown's books. This book is easy to read and doesn 't gather too much information making it ideal for a younger audience, unlike Good Night Moon and The Runaway Bunny, which are full of interesting words, illustrations and events. The book is written from a child’ s perspective and imagination, describing the course of his day next to his partners. I believe it is a great choice for children under the age of two. My daughter is little over two years old and doesn 't seem to be interested in it, nor do I think she has anything new to learn from it.

   wacky.
I was also raised with Goodnight Moon and my 10-month-old seems to like it so far. I was unfamiliar with My World, but it seemed to be worth a shot, so we are here. If it is anything else, it is perhaps stranger than Goodnight Moon. The images continue to pass that peculiar line between creepy and whimsical. Poetry has, I think, utility for language development, but it might be a stretch to call it well-written. Perhaps it will grow on me after reading it again, but I think there is a reason why it is not as well-known as its predecessor. In general, it's OK...
