It Meh okay

I don 't understand how these books have such great reviews. The illustrations and story lines are empty and sterile. It is another children's book yet another children's book that feels as though it was created by a computer instead of a human. As if a computer had the name and pictures of a fake author just stamped on it. There is no depth, no human emotion, no real challenge. Everything is just glee glee and la la. There are a lot better graphic novels out there for this age group. I gave it only 3 stars because my 7 year old daughter enjoys the reading aspect of it - she feels cool that she can read a graphic novel like her elder sister can. But she does not enjoy the story of it as much. She has other books that are her favorite, including her favorite.

I can not express how much I love these books! I run an in-person pod for virtual learner and have 3 first graders and they all read every single one of these individually within 2 hours. They love them so much! They love them so much! Hopeful in the future for more!

I read the first book before my 6 year old daughter, I read the first book before my 6 year old daughter. I was not sure about the format or that it was written in all capital letters. My daughter picked up the first book and continued reading all 3 books in a row. She used so much expression and changed the voice of her characters. This is an excellent, engaging story line for children. We are ordering the rest of the series and look forward to more!

I can not say enough good things about this super sweet series. My 7 year old just started on them, but realistically, I think she would be able to read them two years ago. The reading level is very approachable and writing is cute and enjoyable. I absolutely love the illustrations and there are also a lot of sweet, thoughtful lessons here. The third book mentions food allergies, which is a juice plus for us. My kids were really excited to see their life experiences incorporated and so casually and seamlessly consisted of. Highly recommended. She keeps reading them over and over again, reading them over and over again.

My 7 year old has recently begun to learn how to read fully. She has literally been reading everything in the house, but loves comic books in particular. I bought this set for her as surprise and she loved it. I think it may have been a little too easy as she finished all 3 books in one evening. This is a really cute series and so perfect for early readers.

My 1st grader, 7, can read, but never wanted to read on his own or in practice. These books changed everything. He cracks up and can not stop laughing as he reads the different characters banter. I've seen him read from different reading before reading with monotone voices for characters. Reading 60 minutes easily in a week to 200 minutes total. He reads them over and over again. And can 't get enough of them.
