   daughter loved it
My daughter needed books that were more advanced. I saw this and took a chance. I was glad I did. She was able to read the book on her own, and is in love with it. She loves learning about narwhals. She reads this book to her toddler sister, who is also interested in the drawings. My daughter is hoping that the book will get a sequel.

   Agender main character
The characters are a gender. We are tossing this one out because I don't want to confuse my 6 yo. It doesn't seem to be well- written either, so I'm not sad.

Narwhal is happy. Jelly is not easy to distinguish. They love waffles, parties, and adventures, but they don't have much in common. Narwhal and Jelly will discover the entire ocean together.

   Very creative
The book was very enjoyable. The writing is creative. The illustrations are simple and engaging. You will feel like you are swimming in the ocean. This imagination is crazy. Kids will love it and bond with the characters quickly. There is a Narwhal song as well as real Narwhal facts. The 64 page book is very easy to read. I will check out more adventures from this author.

We have read the entire book or broken it down in threes and the kids still love it. I like the way the kids can add in their thoughts or sounds when they read pictures of words. We can't wait to get the rest of them.

   Fun appropriate series.
My daughter loves books. She read through this book in a week. The pages with technical information about narwhals were the only ones she struggled with. She loved the illustrations and giggled while reading. This series is appropriate for all ages. Many early chapter type books have unnecessary language. She is 7 years old and I read her at a second grade level. We just got the third book in the series, but haven't started it yet.

   This is FUNNY!
The book is hysterical. My 9 year old gave it to me as a birthday gift. I was cracking up The adventure that Narwhal goes on is funny. My 9 year old likes books that are younger than she is. The average first graders through fourth graders will probably get kicked out of this book. I think a three year old would enjoy this book. It's a good idea to read to your children. They will keep doing it if they are allowed to be creative and have fun with it.

   Kids like it
I would give it two stars if we were to go on my opinion. It really isn't much. All of my children liked it, so I give it five stars. When I read it to my five year old, he kept laughing. My four year old was a fan of it. I bought it for my seven year old and she loved it. She wasn't the best reader but she was able to read it herself. My child also liked it. My ten year old said it was weird, but he didn't want to admit it.

This book is perfect for a child who likes random things. The book includes short stories about Narwhal and Jelly's adventures. A big hit with our young child. It reminds me of the Elephant and Piggie series, with more of a graphic novel feel.
