   Great starter guide
I've assumed it was fairly comprehensive and wanted to use it to ID wildflowers in my yard. Several have not been in this guide and I will hunt for a more comprehensive guide.

This is a great guide for anyone new to wildflowers
The pictures make it easy to spot the flowers you identify in the wild. I also love the Petersen's guide, which is for instance better about teaching the different parts of a flower and the different leaves and also has more evocative descriptions. It also includes many other species. But Petersen is better once you get a little more advanced, because it is a little harder to identify the flowers you find using that.

I have a few of the field guides of the Audubon Society, and this is by far my LEAST favorite. Sure, the book has some good information, but the book itself seems to be crappy compared to other guides by the same company, and this first copy I received yesterday has about 4 of the color plate pages cut off on the bottoms of the pages, as well as the front cover was all shredded when it came to me, and not a messed up or ink splotched page to be found. Not sure what's up with this. Again, the information in this book is great, but the publishing quality is AWFUL!

Doesn't seem to have all of the Flowers
But it does a great job, nice photos and descriptions, great feel and size and I don 't have to log into anything to use it!

This is a North American field guide to great wildflowers. The illustrations are wonderful and the book comes in very handy when hiking and camping on weekend hikes!

Very easy to find what you are looking for with the grouped pictures of all the flowers colored according to the colors. Under each there is a basic description and a page number where the full description is given.

I would happily do business with them again.

Book has nice pictures and good descriptions
The out of print book is great for persons who already have knowledge of what to do with wild flowers. This is especially true for Asian Indians and North American aborigines. Know where to find your wild flowers for medicinal purposes, as God intended for you to use in Heaven. Prunellae Vulgaris '', anybody?

   Good guide
My kids wanted to know the names of the flowers as we hiked, I have forgotten a lot, so that book is great. The first flower we looked at was not in the book, so that was disappointing. But overall, a good book.
