Subject Matter in Book - Murder
Derived From Web , Feb 6, 2021
This was not good. I thought Dog Man would be a good addition to their books. The subject of murder will be dealt with if you get past the disgusting parts of the book. I didn't expect something like that from a kid's book.

Terrible for Kids.
Derived From Web , Jan 17, 2021
This book is terrible. It's inappropriate for kids. It talks about dying in a funny way. Before deciding if their child should read the book, each parent should read a few pages. Highly disappointing.

Parents and Teachers - PROCEED WITH CAUTION
Derived From Web , Jan 12, 2021
The Dog Man Books are popular with kids, and they will enjoy reading this in the same format. I am questioning the need for some of the topics in the book. One comic says, " Kill the World" and other very clear comments about killing, death, violence and murder. I know of many parents who wouldn't want their children to read this book. We are living in a world where there is so much good to write about that it is silly to put it in a book for children. Let's not downplay these topics, but let's not be lighthearted about them either. This is in my collection and I am not comfortable with it.

Book is tons of fun, but the cover was scratched.
Derived From Web , Dec 26, 2020
The book is very good. My child will probably like it. He is a great author. The book arrived in a condition that made my low review low. The cover had been scratched. My kid still wants to read the book, so it doesn't make sense for me to return it. I would like it to arrive without damage. My son and I are enjoying the book. I had originally given it less stars due to the condition of the cover that I received but Dav deserves all the stars for this one, even if somewhere down the line this particular copy got scratched up The book and illustrations are funny. Many children will be inspired to make their own comics.

Damaged books...
Derived From Web , Dec 21, 2020
The first book I received was bent, so I had to order a new one. I had to choose the one with less damage because the 2 nd one was damaged when I received it. The poor handling has nothing to do with dav pilkey, he's my childhood hero.

A Parent’s Perspective
Derived From Web , Dec 1, 2020
When Dav Pilkey publishes a new book, I am very excited. Creative stories are combined with life lessons for children. In the Cat Kid Comic Club, Dav Pilkey does not miss a beat. The story is about Cat Kid trying to teach young frog how to draw comic books. The students have cute and funny comics. There are sandwiches that turn into monsters, toothbrush lawyers, and the ever present children's theme of poop. It is okay to fail, it is okay to think about uncomfortable topics at another level. They areIntroduced to the art of haiku Silly as they may seem, Dav Pilkey's books have a winning formula that caters to the young but still gives wisdom. He can do this by reaching to a child. Pilkey doesn't speak from above. Highly recommended to those who want to raise happy and healthy young children.

Best Day Ever!
Derived From Web , Dec 1, 2020
When my seven year old finished reading Cat Kid Comic Club and asked for a sequel, it was the best day ever. A good book for kids who like graphic novels. She hopes there is a second book to come and she will read it another dozen times.
