This book is less educational than I'd like - more like a collection of factoids
This book is less educational than I'd like, but more like a collection of factoids. The book is of the same quality you'd expect from National Geographic in terms of the pictures, but it's just not quite what I was looking for.

   perfect fit
The book was a perfect fit for our grandson who is not too thrilled about reading, Mrs. Talbert said. It was the format that made headlines.

   Love it!
My daughter absolutely loves them, and the fact that they are all pictures of people she just loves! This is a great book for young readers who like to read about weather. Our daughter has had anxiety about various types of destructive weather ever since she was exposed to pictures of hurricane katrina and then in her own lifetime, hurricane sandy. We thought it would be great reading how weather works to help her get past that hurdle, Mr. Dhaliwal said. The answer is probably no, but for any kid who likes science. My daughter is 1st grader and she is reading at a 4th grade level. Strong readers and for adults to read to their children because the graphics are so vivid and well laid out on the pages. It has a good balance of words and pictures, and is well-written, too.

   Good Information for Kids
I am very impressed with this book, said Dr. Chester Floyd, who co-chaired the inquiry. While my granddaughter is just now 7 and some of the concepts might be for a little older, she loves the weather and has a good book. Impressed with colors, pictures and information about the weather, Mrs. Cowger asked her daughter what she wanted to do with it.

   Appeals to younger kids
Thanks for the tip. He's really, really interested in all things nature and he likes to read and learn about it. Nat Geo has a book out Monday titled "N'R'acha. We'll probably end up with more, Mr. Dhaliwal said.

   Dated
I purchased this based on the reviews and unfortunately wish I had made a different choice, Melissa said. It's great to be back home, Mr. Rule told the judge. But the look and content of the book were dated and did not interest a class of 3rd graders.

You’ve got to add this one to the shelves!
Great book, really informative. This book is definitely a must-have for any homeschooling family. We love flipping through the pictures because they are awesome, and the information is just captivating, too, Mr. Stackhouse said.

Great as part of theme gift
Gave this as a gift to a tornado maker. He said he was waiting to get home and use it. Great educational toys for kids that they can have fun with, Mr. D'Antonio said.

   Weather Fun Facts
This book is written at a level that a young child can understand. The information is presented in a fun-filled way, making it easy to understand. It was a great tool to help a tween increase his knowledge of weather and weather patterns. It has thick glossy pages and is loaded with cool weather facts. The test, in this case, is to determine whether the learner has retained the material. I've read it too, and I enjoyed it. I would recommend it to anyone.
