Wonderful! Till it fell apart...
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
My son likes the book. It's perfect for a new reader. Nice pictures and big lettering. The size comparison pictures show how big each Dino is. The binding fell apart a month after we bought it. We have pages falling out because the glue didn't stick to them. It isn't because of misuse. My son loves this book and asks me to put it up high after he reads it. He doesn't share it with his siblings without me. I missed the chance to return by 2 days. We could let him pick a different book.

Hardcover book, is actually pretty big and thick!
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
When I ordered this book for my cousin's birthday, it was 17 dollars, so I must have paid a holiday price. She loves dinosaurs and dragons. I thought the price was high at first because it looked like a simple book, but when it arrived it was really thick. I can tell that this book was written for children by the way it was written. I would recommend this to parents with children who can handle paper pages and to teachers with students in the proper age range.

My four year old grandson loves dinosaurs. The National Geographic First Book on Dinosaurs is easy to navigate and educational. We give 19 stars. He picks it every time we sit down to read. Before we go to lighter reading, we read one or two pages. Thank you!

Well made, good info, easy amounts of info per page for kids and great images to keep them engaged!
Derived From Web , Nov 22, 2021
My daughter loves National Geographic books and I gave her two of them. For the last week and a half, they have been her choice for our book at night. Her recent fascination with dinosaurs has been fed by this one. The book has information on each page about that dinosaur, its size in relation to a human, the time period it lived, a phonetic pronunciation for each dinosaur name and other information. This is a great book for any kid who loves dinosaurs, and it won't hurt the parent to have to read it multiple times. I believe this will last longer on her bookshelf as she gets older, the pictures can engage mostly now but there is info that will fill in as she gets older, and this book is rather big providing a good amount of info and engagement.

poor binding

The binding is going to fall apart after flipping through the book gently. It's done in small clusters so each one will slowly come off.

Binding is bad-don’t buy
Derived From Web , Jan 12, 2021
I have a relationship with this book. On the other hand, the content and illustrations are very good. The binding on the books is junk. The first day we looked through it, the books broke. It is very frustrating. The binding is not strong enough to hold the pages. There are a lot of missing pages in the book. The book is not easy to read and will be thrown away. The book was first used in December. Not good. I think National Geographic will do better. If you want a great book that falls apart, this is the book for you.
