Just Finished And The Kids Loved It
This is a fun book to read about the four different layers of the rainforest and there is lots of information about different animals that live in each of the different layers. There are lots of pictures to keep the kids amused and the facts are interesting for toddler-age children all the way for the adult that probably ends up reading it to the kids. The other books in this series are also great. I would recommend this book and the series overall.

Fantastic introduction to rainforest animals for a 5 y/o
This book has proven to be the centerpiece of a study of rainforests that I am doing this fall with my 5 yo. We have read the whole thing from cover to cover and decided to transform our dining room, which we use as a classroom into a rainforest. We are painting and painting pictures of the animals she has chosen from the book, and before we hang each up, she writes a little sign about the animal plant in her own words. The book has been the cornerstone of the whole project and the photos have been wonderfully inspiring for our art projects. We have also used other books to help us and go deeper, including In the Rainforest by Kate Duke, which is definitely amazing. But this book was the perfect place to start, and when we move to other topics, I definitely plan to use other books in this series.

   Great books for young learners!
I bought two of the National Geographic First Big Kids books - this one and the ocean. My 5-year-old grandson loves learning and literally absorbed the information from the first book I bought about the ocean and now does the same with Rain Forest. The pictures are colorful and engaging and information is presented in an easily understood format for young inquisitive minds. He has read these books again and again!

Great for kids of multiple ages
This is a book that is great for young children to grow up with. The baby and toddler are now enjoying the beautiful pictures of the animals. Later on, he was born. I am sure that they will enjoy the educational information about habitat and trivia about animals.

   Fantastic book!
The information and images are simply out of this world! I have a variety of these books for my grandchildren and keep them readily available so that we can go right to them when my grandson has a question about anything!
