Probably better for early elementary school kids.
This book was a little above my children's levels, but as a parent I think it's great and they'll grow into it. I even learned a few facts about other places in the world! I look forward to reading it again to them when they're a little older and can understand what we are talking about a little more.

   Great for an inquisitive child
We received this book for our son for Christmas. He is 4 12 and is extremely interested in different parts of the world and how things work. We were so impressed with the space book in this series that we decided to get another one. The perks are color photographs and concise facts about the parts of the world that a child would be interested in, such as animals, plants and places.

I am disappointed by the content
I was really looking forward to buying this for a long time ''. I kept going back and forth between National Geographic and DK encyclopedias for my children to use as reference books, I am disappointed with the content. We liked the pictures, but the content is so minimal and dry that my children can hardly get much out of it at 6 and 4 years old. It feels like an overpriced intro to the world, I wouldn 't have bought it if I saw it in person.

Bought this for my 9 year old, as Book-It is always asking school children to read about the world around them. Very interesting facts, but I wish that each entry could have contained a little more information.

Cannot Zoom in on the Kindle Edition
This book does not allow this. Consequently, I can not zoom in and read some of their smaller print, and they have what I imagine would be useful information in boxes and various areas on each page. Similarly, I can not zoom in on pictures to show my children. So, for me, a waste of my money potentially. Also, reading this book makes reading it difficult to read on my phone. It would have gained more stars from me if I did not encounter this impediment while reading the book.

   Highly recommend this book
I bought this to give her the girl next door, who is travelling to Vietnam to visit her grandparents. I thought it would keep her entertained on the long flight. She could see how we live in the United States and where her grands live. I learned about Vietnam before arriving, and personally went through the book, cover to cover, before giving it to her. I am 64 years old. Educational and fun -- I found it -- and I don 't want to give it up, LOL!Highly recommend.

Not much content is expected because it is a children's book, but the very enlarged layout seems to be either accidentally cut by the printer or designed for people who can 't see well.

   Fabulous!!!
It is organized by continent and begins with a great two-sided photo for each. Then there is a short description of the continent and a map of its countries. The weather, people, animals and sights follow. The text is excellent and brief, sticking to the highlights. With this you can not go wrong as an intro to the world geography!
