   Ehhhh
The content is probably geared more towards three year olds than five year olds. Most people in the book are white, except in the areas in which they show pre-industrial forms of transportation - then it is mostly people of color. I mean, if you have a book about trucks, then talk about trucks just. And if you want to have a book about the history of Transportaiton, then get it right.

   Wonderful resource
This book has beautiful pictures and headings bold and bold. It has many forms of transport of old, new and some other parts of the world.

   Too basic for our taste
Great pictures with a variety of things that go '', but the facts were too basic for our liking. He bought it for a 4 year old and he enjoyed looking at it. Some sites were good and educational, but several others had listed minimal information or only common knowledge. In this purchase, I was disappointed.

Beautiful book about things that go.
This book is wonderful, filled with lots of pictures and descriptions. If you have a kid who is really into vehicles and go places, then this is the book for you. My boy is for and he is nuts about any type of vehicle that goes and he looks at it on a regular basis.

   Engaging
Many include children, which seems to capture their attention and allow them to connect with the themes.

Great fun to read with a young one
There are great pictures, description and even a simple choice game to play at the end of each chapter. I bought the book when it was on sale, and will buy some of the other choices when they are on sale. Highly recommended.

Good basic reader for small children
I bought this book for my daughter-in-law, a speech therapist for children of elementary school age, to use for her work. She uses it to expand the vocabulary of children who need to catch up, as a way to help children learn to pronounce words and work through speech problems.

   Perfect for little readers
From age 2 we have loved the Little Big Book series! They are engaging for young children, with great pictures and easy-to-understand descriptions. My son has always preferred non-fiction and I think these are the easiest for him to understand. The book Things That Go, I think is by far the most advanced or directed for older children, but the pictures are still great for a 3 year old.

   Great pictures, relevant text
He loves them just because they help him understand his world. Great for him to read the pictures and a great sharing opportunity for father and son.

This is a high series, but unfortunately this book does not live up to the wonderful quality of the other books in the series. This book is very recommended and more appropriate for younger children of their surface age. It is a disappointment because this is a high-quality series. Great idea for the book theme, but low rated due to limited and basic content.
