   Falls short
This is a good pocket guide, however, it is not clear to me what audience it is trying to address. It claims to include the most common 160 insects in the US and Canada, but a lot of insects that you see daily are not in it. When you try to include butterflies, spiders, dragonflies and all kinds of other insects, you end up sampling each group. There are a few butterflies, a couple of dragonflies, a few of this and a few of this. What is covered in the guide is well covered with good pictures and sufficient information. If your intention is to keep a pocket guide to learn about some of the insects you see, this book could achieve this.

   Amazingly good.
I wanted to make a field guide to insects to be able to tie a wider variety of realistic-looking fishing flies. Of course, National Geographic includes first-rate color pictures in this species, but also provides sizes of each species when mature. Nice to know how big the flies to tie!

Rather limited and not very many example photos
I bought this to help an 8 and a 10 year old in the identification of various arcs. I was slightly disappointed in the field guide examples. I think it would not be too difficult to show more examples for the non-insect families and have more common arthropods that are commonly seen as insects in the same habitat.

   Arrived damaged
Arrived with a damaged front cover. The item was expected to be new. Don 't know if it was damaged in shipping or was this way before it was sent.

   Identify Your Bugs
I actually bought this book for my two-year-old grandson. He just learned that there are many different kinds of insects and he wants to know the name of everyone he sees. He will not read the content, and no one will read it to him because he is way too young to understand it. But it would make a great field guide for a student or older person who wants to know more about bugs.

   Buggy little book!
Good pictures and lovely info. And yes, I found my bug! The book came in good shape to me during transit, with no damage.
