Exceeds expectations! Very current printing!
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
It's very up-to-date. My city, Charlotte, had a vast stretch of the beltway open up just 4.5 months prior to this edition being printed and it shows that the interstate is complete, just as it really is. I've seen maps from late 2015 that are incomplete. I bought this to use for my family's trips to the Western U.S. on BLM land in the summertime, and wasn't expecting my own local roads that are new to be reflected here, especially since the posting for this map says it's a 2004 edition. I took a picture of the page with the actual date on it. I'll update my rating if my journeys out west don't go well. I am very impressed so far.

Travel guide has unique features
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
For those of us who like looking at real maps, and for the most part, this road mapdestinationplanner succeeds, because the Nationalgeo Road Atlas promises to be an alternative to electronic device travel guidelines. The editors chose the top destinations and adventures which every other travel guide has. Some of the beautiful, less well known parks are not included in the list of National Parks. I was looking for more information on several in the Mid-West, and the guide didn't provide it. Their top 50 should have had one in every state. The large size of the book makes it difficult to read. My rating would be three and a half stars.

A Move across country necessity
Derived From Web , Sep 5, 2021
My dad and I used to drive across the country because of my big atlas. When the old gps didn't have service, it came in handy. The highways and etas between the cities were helpful. We were able to get around Chicago traffic by looking at the map and using the gps device. If you buy a big atlas, you will tell everyone about it. You can act offended when someone says that you have a big atlas. Just embrace it.

Rand McNally Large Road Atlas
Derived From Web , Jun 13, 2021
We are planning a road trip when my husband retires. This is huge. It will be useful when we travel to the US in the future. It is spiral bound and I love it. Sturdy cover and coated cover for spills.

Best book for new travelers!
Derived From Web , Jun 5, 2021
We are on our first road trip. Several books were purchased for camping. This is the best book we've ever purchased. The way it is set up is nice. We recommend this book to anyone who is considering a trip to the US.

Not for RVing seniors and not a road atlas
Derived From Web , May 22, 2021
If you want to follow the major highways and not find the country roads, this is the book for you. You will be able to visit museums, universities, and other places in the city. If you are looking for a place to camp, this is not the book for you. I was disappointed in the maps, the lack of information for outdoor adventures, and the need to use a magnifying glass to read them. It's pretty but useless as a road atlas.

Disappointing
Derived From Web , Oct 27, 2020
There is a lot of hype, just a road atlas, the details are few, and there is a $5.00 gas station model.

A good buy

Sturdy construction and very detailed info. The only improvement I would make is to put a tab on it to keep it closed when traveling. I might add one more.

Very nice Atlas
Derived From Web , Dec 27, 2019
It is very good. It has a plastic cover to protect the pages, it has a large metal binder which makes turning pages easier, and it covers many of the blip towns. It is the best Atlas I have ever owned.

Very beutifull and large Atlas
Derived From Web , Mar 13, 2019
The delivery was very fast. The package was great. I didn't know that the Atlas is so large. I believe it is A3 format. There is a review of most popular sport tracks. For tourists, it has information about preferred seasons, internet site address and telephone number. In the following pages you have a full US map with marked national parks, and after road maps you have every section of main roads and highways timed and miled. There is a zoom in on maps of big cities, but it's not included in most of them. Texts look good and the colors are full. I think this Atlas is good for people like me who like to visit main tourist destinations and don't like to get lost if there is a gps issue. I'm happy with the order.
