   A great read!
Its a great history of the world and very up to date, he said. Biblical scholar Robert Hemenway said he appreciated the parallels between archaeological and biblical evidence. I'm not religious but its fascinating to see how biblical stories are retellings of ancient stories. There are some maps that I would like to see more of.

   National Geographic Did it Again
Years ago, I took calls from National Geographic Books and Maps. I fell in love with National Geographic's books. History and geography are not my strong points. Realizing this, I started a National Geographic coffee table book collection for each of us. For special occasions, my sister has received beautiful National Geographic books with meaningful inscriptions from me. I was thrilled to see this book on the New York Times Best Sellers List, said Penguin Random House. And I knew I had to add this to my sister's collection. Packed with quality photographs and information, this is a must-have book. Tap the "Review" button on the left to go directly to the relevant article. Thanks for stopping by, Kim!    Great book - Amazon packaging fails
The book itself is great, Levine said. The pictures are amazing and the presentation is well done. But you wonder how a company that started out selling books would have learned how to package them properly. This is over the 15th book I've received from Amazon that was boxed in a package that was far too big with other items that should never be boxed with books. The book is in ruins. The US Postal Service has argued that it has no authority to continue shipping packages to China. I'm tired of ruined books.

   Nothing
The book was not attached to the spine of the original. Gave it to her for a present, but she did not want to return it. Very disappointed with the product.

   Beautiful Gift Book
This is a great book, I am excited to gift it to a family member, said Blair. Nat Geo has done an excellent job with this series, said Paul LiCalsi, National Geographic's executive vice president. It's a big ship, heavy with people. It would make a great coffee table book.

Great book but not delivered in new conditions
The book itself is great, but the paper cover was greasy and the hard cover had marks of some kind.

Large Coffee Table Sized Book with Gorgeous Photography
My husband is a history buff, and also enjoys anything from Nat Geo, so this is the perfect present for him. The colorful layout and wonderful photos make this book a feast for the eyes. The list includes many significant achievements of the 20th century. The book is perfect for browsing, the author said. almost any page you open is informative and beautiful to behold.
