I cannot recommend this book highly enough. The book features stunning illustrations by Mark Halperin, who also created the "Sesame Street" video game. I bought this as a decorative piece for my son's nature-outdoor adventure nursery, but my 9 year old fell in love with it. This book is highly recommended for anyone who appreciates the National Parks and nature.

The book is beautiful and filled with a lot of great information, but I'm disappointed it doesn't give details on every national park. I didn't do enough research and that is stated somewhere, but I just saw the high rating and purchased it for our kids during a sale. Our boys love these large informational books, so I was hoping to give them an additional opportunity to learn more about the parks they know and love, Mrs. Park told us. Our “home†national park isn’t included in the short description of the region. It's pretty difficult to find info about Lassen Volcanic in general, but it's an often overlooked and under-looked park. No wonder Crater Lake doesn't have a spread. We'll just keep hiking all the trails and experience it ourselves. It's pretty rad, make sure your little explorers have opportunities to learn about it!

I love everything about this book, except for the fact that it doesn't cover all of the national parks. I wonder why I didn't read that description of the book when I was looking at the cover. When I got it, I was a little disappointed. I had hoped to use this book to teach my kids more about the national parks that we have visited and the ones we are going to this summer. Only a couple of the parks I had wanted to cover were in the book. It's a great book, but I'm disappointed it wasn't published earlier. The fact is, there are some great artists working today. Had I known it would cover all the parks, I would have purchased it. It's just that I'd like to see it covered more.

What a Treasure!

I bought this book to read to my daughters. My personal bucket list is visiting all the National Parks, and we have started going as a family. This book is so much more than just a photo book. The pictures are unique and engaging, and the text is also interesting. My girls love reading it, and I ask for it often. However, this does not include all of the parks. I hope a sequel is released featuring even more parks.

I purchased this book after seeing some of the illustrations in my social media feed, and it doesn't disappoint. I love the little factoids about different plants and animals, Raymond said. The book does a great job of showing a cross section of what the national parks have to offer, and the artist's work is AMAZING! I can't get over how many beautiful illustrations there are packed into one book. Every time I open it, I find something new to gush over. The book itself is extremely well-made, McBride said. It's a far higher quality picture book than your average kid's.
