   This is great
I 'd heard that story for years, but now I only got around to reading it. It is excellent. I read it again.
   What if....
A very interesting look at the story of Snow White from the point-of-view of another key character in the story. For sure, worth reading!
   Must have
Amazing storytelling, excellent graphics. In the future, I hope to see more from him.
Stunning illustrations by Philip & Company. A classic twist on a fantastic story. Not suitable for younger children, as it does have adult content.
   well that got dark fast
Impulse is a beautiful illustrated and a beautifully bought one. Very dark and almost impossible to read, even though it takes about 20 minutes or so. This would prefer this in a phyical copy. The Kindle format does not do justice to it, and you can not zoom manually, at least not on the device used.
Beautiful and creepy, definitely rated R
Snow White is an interesting take on the snow white! Crèmepy and freaky. It has absolutely beautiful illustrations. Personally, I liked the book. Unfortunately, this is quite R rated. I actually had taken it with me when I took my mother to the hospital for a procedure to pass the time in the waiting room. I had no idea that it would be so graphic and in close quarters the person next to you will definitely see what you are reading. After the first few pages, I had to set it aside and finish it at home.
   Just Gorgeous!
First, can I say that the drawings in this are freaking phenomenal! Just gorgeous, I would have bought this alone for the pictures, but the story is pretty awesome too. I am a sucker for fairy-tale retellings and I can not believe how I am on board with Snow White being a vampire. I love the total switch to the good queen being the creepy guy and Snow White taking on the evil role as the villain. My freaking day made me scream. Shortly aesthetically pleasing, this can not be recommended more. Note that I would rate this R. There are a few sexually explicit scenes that I wouldn 't recommend for a younger crowd. So, you know, don 't buy this for your six-year-old.
Snow White meets Neil and Colleen
For the book itself, it has an excellent production value with a very solid hardcover and a wonderful paper. For art, it is top notch in Harry Clarke's style and the better manga. For example, it reminds me of the Netflix - anime Castlevania. The story is a take on the snow white from the perspective of the queen. The story has adult content, so keep this in mind when buying it as a gift. Highly recommended if you enjoy mythic stories, wonderful art and high production value and don 't mind paying a premium for it. Ultimately, it is something you can read quickly during a lunch break. Highly recommended getting Charles Vess'; The Book of Ballads and Sagas for an equally high graphic novel and a similar vein.
   Dark, sexy and masterfully gorgeous...
As beautiful as the story is, the beauty of the artwork keeps you riveted to the page. Colleen's work has definitely entered the realm of the greatest masters of graphic art form - she has surpassed herself, which is quite an achievement. In all seriousness, this is a cherished addition to my own library! Dark, sexy and utterly masterful art that fills Gaiman's words with life...
   Breathtakingly horrifying.
Suffice it to say that fans of Colleen Doran and Neil Gaiman will love it. But for the uninitiated... this is a sheer delight in a world of an unexpected take on a classic story that you know THINK. Here is Colleen Doran at her best, dazzling the eye while telling the story with such beauty and grace, one almost forgets the horror that lies behind the beautiful imagery. The art is sumptuously detailed, influenced by the Irish artist Colleen with the unmistakable elegance for which Harry Clarke's work is known. I am ready for their next collaboration.
