   As Advertised But ...
This is an easy to read translation of biblical scripture. Christ's words are red. I wish I'd read it more carefully. The paper is not black. There is no marker for ribbon. Since I intended it to be a personal gift, I wanted it to be more subtle but it is exactly what it is. The paper is thin, but I don't think it causes a bleed-through of the text. It was a good price.

   Not quite what I expected...
The bible is well done. The leather is soft and supple. I bought this bible for my 3rd graders because it was advertised as a larger print for easy reading. The text size is not large if you can see the picture I attached. I think the text is small because I have small hands for a guy. I would've bought something else if I'd known what I know now. My wife wrote his name in it before I could tell her I wanted to return it. Oh well...

   perfect font size for aging eyes
My eyesight is changing as I get older. I bought this version because I was having trouble reading the small print in the regular version. This version has about 12 pt or 14 pt. I like to read. The only thing I don't like is that some of the wording reads differently than what we use in church or Bible Studies. I have the same issue with the electronic version of my phone. The gender words for God were not clear from the product descriptions. That's fine because I wanted that. It's a bit heavy but I'm okay with that. I can go to my old study Bible to do deeper research.

I bought two of these bibles. One for me and one for a friend of mine. The size is perfect for taking to church, the printing is perfect for reading and studying, and it is a very smart looking bible. I would recommend it to everyone. It has the words of Christ in red and a ribbon marker. It is great! It's!

The slate blue cover of this small bible has a printed design. The cover isn't made of leather. The number of letters is 8. The bible is out of print. There are some 3rd party vendors on Amazon that are selling new copies at prices ranging from $60.00 to $90.00. The following information may be useful for anyone considering paying that much for a bible. The bible does not include maps. There is no Concordance. There is no index. The bible ends with a page called A Table of Weights and Measures. There are 5 blank pages. The bible has 1632 pages according to the description. The table of weights and measures page is where my copy ends. There are five blank pages after this page. The vendor didn't give a reasonable answer when I asked about the blank pages.

   Perfect for the price
My nine year-old son doesn't want a bible anymore. He didn't want all the drawings and extra stuff. The word of God. This fit the bill. The faux leather cover is nice. There is a plain text. There are words of Jesus in red.

   Print is too small
The bible is a good choice for bible classes. The print size is my biggest issue. The print is hard to read with glasses. The print size is a major draw back, but I don't recall the reviews mentioning it. I removed two stars because of the large print size.

   Very Satisfied with this Bible
I expected the Bible to be weak. Even though the cover is not real leather, it is very nice and looks high quality. For my dad's 70th birthday, I bought this. I believe he will like the larger words. The perfect size for casual reading is the Bible. footnotes, maps, etc. are not included in the Bible. This is perfect for my dad because he doesn't use them, and it reduces the size of the book. It was a good price.
