   Tiny Tiny Print
I read the previous review saying that the print was small, but didn 't take my nearvision into consideration, but when I opened the Bible, I was shocked. Even for me, this is extremely tiny. They made junk effectively to save a few extra pages by printing a few extra pages. I will get a refund, which is sad because I was so excited about this Bible.

   Disappointed. Basically an ordinary mass market paperback with a soft-touch cover
The leatherette cover is trimmed like a typical paperback to the edge. The paper is slightly course, like the drug store paperbacks in a rack at the mass market. There is an expectation that a Bible should feel fairly smooth and not be like a paperback. A beautiful handwritten Bible for a church service or a youth group, but does not have strong visual or tactile appeal. It is basically an ordinary paperback book.

   Plan of salvation presented is totally Calvinist.
Be advised that the Plan of Salvation '' titled Knowing Jesus '' is a Calvinist thoroughly in the back of this Bible. It presents only the Penal Substitution theory of the atonement, in contrast to the Christ Victorious and the Ransom theory, which was the understanding of the early church. Other than that, it is a beautiful Bible. It lists the miracles of Jesus, the parables of Jesus, and the Old Testament prophecies relating to Jesus, as well as the usual weights and measures conversion tables. No maps and no dictionaryconcordance, but for a few bucks you can not expect all the bells and whistles. The cover is thin and the pages are glued, not stitched. But if it is not treated roughly, it should last well enough considering its low cost. The reading plan might be useful for a first Bible reader. Though small in number, the type is surprisingly readable even for my old eyes.

   Beautiful Bible!
The Bible's pages are very thorny, which is great because I like the highlighting. The cover and back are very thin like a paperback, but soft like faux leather. I will store it in it's packaging to avoid damaging it on the shelf. The edges of the web are not silver, although it would look very elegant if they were. Prices for this Bible are amazing!

   Made in China
The Bible is described as described in general. What is not in the description, however, that Zondervan's Bibles are made in China! Additionally, touching the pages leaves a residue on your fingers. The paper has a similar feel to receiving paper treated with BPA. This is not normal paper. I had to wash my hands several times to get the residue off.

   GOD's Words, Light & Portable, Highly Legible Font, Works For Me With Simple Reading Glasses
Just what I need in this life for maybe my last chapter. With a broken, painful body, Bible's light weight lets me carry it without adding too much pain outside the home. Of course, the Bible font must be small for the Bible to be smaller and lighter. The font of the Bible is highly legible compared to most other fonts of the same font size. Fortunately, it is easy enough for me to read when using simple, low-cost glasses. I'll update this review after I highlight my most needed verses, to comment on paper quality of the Bible, highlighter bleeding, cover durability, etc.

   I would give it a 5 star but hate the front cover and side silver thing.
I wish the letters were bolder on the front and the side. If it was more demure, it would have been better. The font, style and the overall book is, however, amazing. It fits what I want for a Bible.

No pictures of the font displayed on Amazon so you can verify before purchasing. The font is really small, really. Was going to return it, but the shipping cost is $5.99, so I will donate it instead to someone.

   Pages stick together, below average quaity...
Looks fairly nice, but hard to use because the pages are pressed and stuck together. Better than the very cheapest Bibles, but that is about the best I can say. I would not buy it again. I feel that the description of the manufacturer has oversold this item and made it sound as if it was better quality than it actually is.
