It worked like a charm
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
We bought this book hoping it would help our almost 3 year old give up her binky. It worked like a charm, Tunick said. We read it to her every night for a week and used the phrase only in bed when we gave it to her at sleep times. After that we stopped giving her a binky and told her she was a big duck. The first night was rough and she woke up twice or thrice asking for it but each day got better. Within three days, we were completely done with binky, Mr. Dhaliwal said. It's a repetitive and colorful illustration, said Blair. Overall, I would highly recommend it.

Best pacifier book for my 2 year old
Derived From Web , Mar 18, 2021
I tried a few other pacifier books before finally getting this one because of a few negative reviews. We had already limited pacifiers used to sleep and naps so he could properly relate to the story, Dr. Goin added. It helped him prepare for the night when he wouldn't be able to have it. We counted the nights until we said bye bye paci. He liked the book so much he'd try to read it himself in the days leading up to it. It definitely helped him understand what was coming, Tunick said. After he settled down, he slept all night and hasn't had his pacifier since. It's great to have a playpen for toddlers.

ONLY MALE CHARACTERS?
Derived From Web , Jun 3, 2020
So far, I own 12 of them. I got a box set for my daughter's birthday and loved them so much I wanted to buy more. The only difference is that the book characters are either male or female. There are a number of noted female characters in the "Austin Powers" movies. He's always his never shes. Now I would be delighted if the two kids were just labeled as their animal for example good mouse! He's a monkey. But to include male pronouns we must first define "themselves" and not "one." Jay-Z's record sales have taken off, with the singer's new single "Beautiful" climbing the charts this week. A blond-haired woman, McCartney said in an interview that aired Wednesday on NBC's "Today." The pronoun is wrong. Very disappointed Michael Dahl doesn't include female pronouns in his children's books. But I do like the messages and simplicity of the messages these books send. The buttons are easy to understand for a young child.

I recommend this book
Derived From Web , Nov 11, 2019
I read this book to my 22 month old and because we use the word paci instead of pacifier, I read it using the vocabulary he is used to, but this is a good book. The idea of no pacifier is repetitive, but this is important for certain age groups, they need repetition. If you are new to this having your child comply with certain behavior changes from their norm then a piece of advice give them time, stay positive when they don't comply, and remember nothing happens over night, Dr. Goin added. This book is not fix it quick but it certainly gives the idea of using a pacifier less. Easy to understand, the pictures are very clear and can be manipulated to suit your needs. The repetitive lines are what you want in a business plan. It uses a rhyme to encourage children to stop using pacifiers. I would recommend this book to anyone.

Don’t buy if you don’t like cry it out
Derived From Web , Jul 10, 2019
If you don't let your kids cry, you may regret it. Reviews have said that although written by a young woman, it was a sweet book. It says the duck cries and then eventually stops, but then the ducklings come back again and again. Not that I'm ashamed of, Michael.

A little personalization, and it does the trick!
Derived From Web , Jul 9, 2018
I had amazing luck with Big Bed for Giraffe so I thought I would try this one to get my 2 1/2 year old to give up the pacifier at night, Mrs. Booher said. At first, I wasn't too impressed with this one, but after reading it a few times, my son seemed to get the message. He looked distressed at what it was hinting at, but he continued to request the book. I personalized it is getting bigger, just like duck, and I changed pacifier to binky and by God it worked. He was just as proud as the little duck the next morning!
