Helpful for toddlers
Derived From Web , May 31, 2022
My son has terrible allergies, which can lead to most of the picking up. I am a psychologist and always look for books to help my toddler son understand concepts.

I love these books by Elizabeth Verdick and purchased this book during the cold and flu season. I teach preschool and we had severe problems with nose picking! While we still have nose pickers, we noticed a big improvement in children at least some of the time getting up to get tissues on their own and then receiving tons of praise for it! The only thing I did not necessarily agree with were the tips at the end of the book about not naming a child on nose picking sometimes modeling is just not enough. I have been teaching preschool for 7 years now, and while we are not embarrassing children by any means, I am going to tell them to get a tissue. But they're tips so that they're optional, so that they can each their own!

For my little nose picker!
Derived From Web , Aug 15, 2019
I bought this to read to my 4 year old, as we are always catching him picking his nose. He asks to read it now, and I feel like I have seen a steep decline in his picking habit!

But he still picks...
Derived From Web , Apr 25, 2018
Typical of the books in this series, it rhymes, is ready to follow and this kid knows what not to do. My son likes the other books we have, but probably doesn 't like this one as much because he is already self-conscious about his habits.

Love!
Derived From Web , Jan 1, 2018
Being a preschool teacher, and during the season, many of my students walk around in their noses or mouths with their fingers. After reading this fun book to my class, I feel like they enjoyed it and that it helped. We often read it. A few of the students get excited and proud when they tell me that they picked a tissue and not their nose as described in the book.

Wonderful Board Books - Clear Messages
Derived From Web , Oct 21, 2017
This series is great for younger kids or children who may need some reinforcements about basic hygiene practices. The message is clear and direct, colors are great and the words are repetitive enough that they make for wonderful early readers as well. Our public son needs these reminders to help him navigate life in the autistic school, and he loves these books. These are board books, so that they hold well to the love they will surely receive.
