Desperate and embarrassing attempt to inject politics into comics
Didn 't buy it on Amazon. Here and online, segments were found. I am so glad that I didn 't have to pay money for it. Horrible art, terrible writing and little more than a racist after the school - special created by the choir for the choir. Save yourself some time and money and just watch Some Guy's ( take it on YouTube ). He shows that it was even worse than I thought at first. If you are still interested in that case, fair enough.
A story so many teens, young adults, and their families need right now.
I just devoured a real Nubia in an afternoon and is so good. In addition to a satisfying plot and origin story, it speaks directly to so many people I know. The way characters check each other, protect each other and support each other cross-wise is beautifully rendered, and as someone who has had to have conversations about protesting as safely as possible, I am very glad to see this included. The art is amazing and there is also plenty of joy in this story!
Not Your Dad's DC Comic Book
So well written, you can feel the warmth and love between Nubia and her family really warm. I also enjoyed that it is written in a southern dialect, I don 't think I have ever read a DC comic like this before. I honestly don 't think that this book should be divisive if you like realistic storytelling, high stakes and a fresh young adult take on a very old character. If you go in expecting muscle men in tights, this is probably not the comic book for you. But if you want a real story about a young girl learning to navigate the world while fighting for justice, this is a cute one. )
This is the future of DC comics?!? LOL!!!
First of all, the art is atrocious in this book. Then there is the story if you can call it that. This is supposedly a superhero story? Really? Even if this book was free, I would still spend a second of your time on it.
   A spectacular story about *now*
I am not much of a comics reader, but I decided to take a risk as a fan of the writer. And I'm glad that I did.
