My great nieces are learning about the great historical figures who made a difference in their lives today. I like that they have enjoyed reading about Harriet Tubman, RBG and Mother Teresa, said Robert Hein, executive director of the National Book Foundation. I'm so glad that the book was made into a movie, so that the girls would have the confidence to be contributors to their generation. A great writer, Robert Heinwall said. Just what I was looking for in developing early was to all contribute to making the world a kinder, and how important it is to plant those seeds, he said.

I'm so excited to be working with such a passionate and inspirational book. We wanted to start teaching our 3 year old daughter about those incredible individuals who impacted our country and about how anyone can shape, lead and change the world, Raymond said. The Harrisons are very disappointed. The writer was 4 years old. He also said that despite the criticism, "most people feel that accolades are out of respect for Mr. Obama." I can't believe he played a part in the writing, he's far too intelligent for this.

I initially hesitated to buy Of Thee I Sing A Letter to My Daughters by Barack Obama as a present for a young boy, but after reading it I realized the message applies to boys, girls, and adults. History aside, I hope we all see in our daughters qualities that he sees in the children around us. I've fallen in love with the book so much that I want a copy for my own shelves, just so I can read it when I need to feel hopeful and inspired.
