Book Overview

An introduction to the world of Dr. Seuss--for babies and babies-to-be

Artfully adapted almost entirely from Ted Geisel's work, this introduction to the world of Dr. Seuss is a must for expectant parents and new babies In simple rhymed verse, author Tish Rabe extolls the joys awaiting newborns when they meet the Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Yertle the Turtle, the Great Birthday Bird, the Grinch, and twenty-five other beloved Seuss characters. Written to be read aloud to babies and babies-to-be (yes, babies in utero ), the book includes a brief introduction by Mrs. Dr. Seuss--Audrey Geisel--revealing how she and Ted were fascinated by the idea that babies could hear sounds while still in the womb--and might actually respond to the voices of their parents. A perfect gift for baby showers and newborns, Oh, Baby, the Places You'll Go is the ideal way to nurture a love of reading and Dr. Seuss in the very youngest children

   Sweet but small
I just received a book and was so excited to read it in a few minutes. The book was very sweet and I loved the tie in with the Dr. Suess Characters. The book is small, but I had tears in my eyes as I read it.

   Perfect words. Perfect price
It's a little bitty book for a little bitty baby that can't see the pages. I give this to my patients at 24 weeks when hearing develops and encourages them to start bonding. Perfect words. The price was perfect. The size is perfect. It was a perfect gift. It's awesome!

   cute, but tiny!
The book is small. I would expect a large book for the price. I was going to use this as a gift for an expecting father, but it's a stocking stuffer size item. It is a cute idea, but it is too small.

An interesting and delightful little booklet for women.
I was not a fan of the Dr. Seuss books. I ordered this volume on Amazon. I found the small size booklet cover to be delightful after reading it. The quotes in this book are used by pregnant women to speak to the baby in the womb. You may want to check out this booklet if you like Dr. Seuss material. The rating was 4 stars. Truncale was Joseph J.

Should have bought it in store
The quality of the book is very cheap. The pages are very thin and the hard back is not as strong as the more quality copies. I just put off buying this book because I looked at it in stores. When I found it online for a bit cheaper, I thought it would be a good idea to buy it. I would have bought it in store for an extra buck or 2 if I had known it was so flimsy.

Wonderful introduction to the world of Dr. Seuss!
When I was pregnant, I found this book. During the last 2 months of my pregnancies, my husband was working in a different state. I made a recording of my husband reading the book. I played that recording for my belly every night so my little one would recognize his Daddy's voice when he was born. When someone I love gets pregnant, I send the book to them and tell them how we used it. Every person, the mom's and dad's to be, get teary eyed when they receive it. It's a great way to start reading to your child.

   adorable
Instead of having a guest sign in book for a baby shower, we used a book that had more than one purpose, and that the baby would use for a long time, and that the book would likely get thrown away.

Where Do You Want To Go?
This version is focused on the classic. The first time I read it aloud, it was for my new grandchild, who was still in the womb. Will read it again when I visit. The regular version of this book is recommended for adults. You can't go wrong at any age.
