   Great map. Terrific
Terrific is a fictional place. Will use it during a guided tour so that I can track where I am and where we are headed. Offers terrain relief deemed essential for obtaining a lay of the land. Today I marked it and have the destinations marked on it for reference during the trip. So looking forward to reaching the Golan Heights... among scores of other points of historical interest, which of course includes biblical sites! This goes in the briefcase of the backpack! If I wanted a road atlas, I would have bought a road atlas with the nifty spirals and would have been stuffed beside the console or on the lap of the navigator.
These Trails Illustrated Maps are the best!
The new ones give more detail on the man-made things like building, parking and other infrastructure. The way to go is therefore old and new!
   Better than expected!
I use this map as a research tool. I would give it more stars if I could not give it any more! Hurray!
not a great map if you like Israel
When your map of Israel says that the city Abraham bought a burial plot 3,500 years ago, is called Al Khalil and the name Hebron is mentioned in parentheses only because it is not terribly accurate, and is not physically unwieldy.
   Not in English
The place names are not written in English. It is clearly pro-Arab. I don 't like and don 't use this map. I have 2 other maps of Israel and Jerusalem that are good : This was a mistake.
Extremely detailed to point of information overload
Wanted to see this map for an upcoming trip to visit historic sites and natural sites in national parks. Map shows each road, village and creek in the country. There is so much detail that it is virtually impossible to look even if you know where to find. There is no detail about cities or towns.
Road Map of Israel - Not A City Map For Tourists
Awesome! Has some type of heavy plastic finish that accepts stick on flags, markers, and mileage notes to use with tour books, back to the days of getting a road map at a gas or a welcome center. This is a driving map, called Adventure in the title. I am on a 10 day road trip and need a highway map to get to the city you need, show you the route of the Tel Aviv to Jerusalem train and the geography of the region you are in. You need a tour book and maps in the book tour. No city crashes, a road map plain and simple. Well worth the price to understand why it is a five hour ride across the Gaza Strip to Eilat from Tel Aviv. There you can book a fifty minute flight and instead fly. It is a tool, welcome back to the 70s.
Text size and color allows lots of detail and while being easy to read.

If you're exploring Israel by car, definitely get this!
I spent a week last month traveling around Israel and this map was invaluable. Yes, there is great cell service in most areas, but if you drive north to the Golan Heights or south to the Dead Sea, the service is spotty, meaning no GPS on your phone. This mapped the day twice and got us to our destinations with no wasted travel time, so that in itself paid for the map!
   too cluttered to read
Even for a navigator, this is not practical in a moving car. And it shows different borders -- international, administrative and disputed -- all in yellow with slightly varying lengths of black dashes. Among the clutter of everything else mentioned above, the two latter ones look alike unless you know the borders already. Then you don 't need it. I want to travel just without having to go through checkpoints and can not tell that from these maps. You can do better with National Geographic.
