I got this for my 2-year-old who is obsessed with trucks, but I read it almost as much as he does. The illustrations are just fabulously sophisticated and fun, with lots of detail to look at. Updating the classic Old MacDonald with trucks, construction equipment and farming machinery instead of cows, chickens and pigs is genius and really appeals to a little kid who loves anything on wheels. And all the farm animals are still represented, helping Mr. and Mrs. MacDonald as they work around the farm to prepare for a special event.

My children love this book! They are 4 and 7 - I was surprised that the 7 - year old liked it so much because it is way below his reading level. I'm ordering one to donate to my younger preschool class and purchasing a few more as gifts!

I think we read it 100 times after receiving the book in the first 3 days after reading it. He loves to point out the goat drinking coffee in the excavator and the pig pumping the tires in another picture. It is fun to read to him too, since he gets into it.

My grandson loves all kinds of vehicles as well as singing, so that this book really captured his attention. We love to sing it out loud and make silly sounds on the way. We gave it to him when he was 2.5 and is now 3. He is even more now that he enjoys a little older.

I don 't want to give the story line away, but it is quite unique. If you have a child who enjoys construction vehicles, this might be a book you want to look at buying. I recommend that you check a read aloud of it online or watch it first at your local library.
