   The night after, the night he was born.
When I was pregnant, my husband and I had a tradition in which he would read a book to me every day so that the baby could hear his voice. When our baby was born 6 weeks early and had to spend some time in the NICU my husband made sure to read to him on the night after he was born and I have absolutely no regrets doing so! My husband read this to our baby in the hospital. This was a wonderful book. It is very sweet and memorable to tell a story to your child about how special he or she is. The artwork in this book is great. I will most likely buy a hard copy of this book, rather than having it on my device. We will keep this book with us for a long time.

   Great for a child of any age!
Every baby gift I have given for the past few years has included this book. I write the baby's full name, time and place of birth on the inside of the baby's birth certificate. My friend put her son's foot on it. The way that people feel about their children entering the world is depicted in the book. It must be 1,000 times stronger for parents because I get this overwhelming feeling. It's a great book for expecting parents, but also for parents who have grown up and are entering different stages of life.

   My Daughter in Heaven
I gave this book to my daughter. She was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer at the age of 30. I was led to this book by the way it described her birth and life. I didn't want to share another Christmas with her. She died on the anniversary. She passed away on Sept. 8, 2012 My heart stopped beating when she did. She told me how much she loved this book, especially the part about my love finding her wherever she would go. I reminded her of that when I held her hand in the hospital. This book shows the love a mother has for her child.

   Everything you've wanted to say to your child...
My nine year old son received this gift for his birthday. I buy a special book for him on his birthday. This is the first book I have purchased, and I am in love with Nancy Tillman's books. The illustrations are soft and beautiful. If you have a child who likes animals, they will appreciate the illustrations. The book reads like a poem. It's not wordy which makes it a warm, playful nature. The last page is my favorite. The book is appropriate for gift-giving and of the correct quality. It is suitable for younger children or as a special gift for an older child. You can't go wrong. Enjoy.

   Nice book, would be good baby shower gift.
The book is not gender specific. For a girl or boy, it would work well. My daughter's friend gave her a copy of this after my grandson was born. I bought a copy for our house and another for a friend who is expecting. The book shows how much the child is loved. The art is easy to understand. The book is just happy. If the child's gender is not known, this would be a good gift.

On my 69th birthday, I received a wonderful book from a dear friend. Even though it is written for children, the message it contains is one that can never be said too much.    Beautiful Story
We bought a copy of this book for our first child. She chewed on the corners of the book. I wanted them to read this story to us before we left the hospital because there is one page that talks about how not ever has there been someone like them and there never will be again. It was very difficult to read and very fitting for them. The new copy is in a shadow box with other items that were theirs. This is the book you should buy for your children. The artwork is lovely and the story is well written.

   Book looks rough, story is perfect
The book was amazing but the corners were damaged. It was a gift for someone and it was sucked. The story is cute, but I wish it came in better condition.
