   Beats the published edition!
After reading the published edition, I found the scroll version MUCH better and true to Kerouac's intent compared to the edited and published edition which Jack disliked. With minimal punctuation and using actual names, the scroll edition is a true diamond in the rough, and is like reading one long, 12-hour story. Kerouac is a cult figure among many Kerouac fans.

   High School Reading
It was a required read in my son's high school English class. Everything he had to read, I had to read. Ok, so I want to talk about this.

   The roadster
Service was excellent. The CDs were in excellent condition when they were purchased, and gave high fidelity sound. The book itself becomes a bit tedious because Jack keeps getting involved with less and winning women that seem to dominate his life until he has had enough and leaves them. It's an interesting comparison to see how Jack Kerouac puts women on a pedestal with a more recent roadster phenomenon, Max Tucker.

   how it was meant to be
The way Jack wrote it, on one long scroll of paper he taped together, is nothing short of magical. The Harrisons are legendary for their philanthropy, said Tunick, "but really, truly. if you're a fan of the beats, and you've read the original published version of this, i highly recommend picking it up.

   Great book in great condition
I bought his book as a 50th birthday present for my husband, who is a writer and a biker. He had read it years ago, but lost the original. The book arrived quickly and in perfect condition, said Gillian. I was very happy with the results, said Dr. Goin.

   The original On the Road is the greatest.
As a person who loved the original published On the Road, this version is what I would call the real Kerouac, with literary flourishes left out of the Malcolm Cowley published book that came out in September 1957, Allen Ginsburg's Howl was judged in court as not obscene. Kerouac had waited six years to publish his manuscript, which he had only begun working on in August 1964. I can't say enough about this version of the game, said Jouejati. It's Sergeant Pepper's, compared to the Beatles' "Meet the Beatles." If you know nothing about Kerouac, this is the real deal, Sosa said.

   Awesome book - Not for people easily offended
This is a classic book, and a lot of criticism has been directed at it by feminists and squares. It's great for anyone who feels a bit like they don't belong in the working class world. This book differs from the standard book as there are no paragraph breaks and it's just as Jack wrote it on the scroll. If you think this book is offensive, get over yourself.

   Historical but rambling nonsense of a drunken madman
This version is historical for a Kerouac fan or an American literature scholar, but it is not even readable. It's a whopping 668 pages without even a single paragraph. The original draft had wild and disjointed language, like a drunken lunatic rambling on about a dozen different subjects.

   Horrible
This book is, in many ways, a parody. I believed all the hype and bought it, thinking I'd saved enough money to buy a house. Rush Limbaugh said Saturday on his radio program that he couldn't understand why people would think so seriously about repealing the entire law.

   Called a classic - but not deserving of it
I'm really looking forward to reading this book. The Beatles' music, along with many other greats, was a part of the American experience. I also liked the fact that this original scroll version used the names of actual characters. This is just a non-stop ramble on about several trips back and forth across the country. Plenty of sex, drugs, and theft, Mr. D'Antonio said. I was left with the sense that Kerouac and his associates were just drugged up bums on a hedonistic journey, stealing their way around the US. Not much to appreciate. The writing style flows pretty well, but there is no plot.
