From the author of the New York Times bestselling novel Fish in a Tree
Carley uses humor and street smarts to keep her emotional walls high and thick. But the day she becomes a foster child, and moves in with the Murphys, she's blindsided. This loving, bustling family shows Carley the stable family life she never thought existed, and she feels like an alien in their cookie-cutter-perfect household. Despite her resistance, the Murphys eventually show her what it feels like to belong--until her mother wants her back and Carley has to decide where and how to live. She's not really a Murphy, but the gifts they've given her have opened up a new future. Hunt's writing is fearless and One For The Murphys is a story that is at once compassionate, thought-provoking and beautifully told. From the first page, I was drawn into Carley's story. She is a character not to be missed or forgotten. --Jacqueline Woodson, National Book Award-winning author of Brown Girl Dreaming Winner of the Tassy Walden Award for New Voice in Children's LiteratureIt takes about 3 Hours and 24 minutes on average for a reader to read One For The Murphys. sweet story

But I'm not sure that the writing in this novel is as great as Stephen King's. However, there were several things I really enjoyed. Though the plot thickened with time, I felt the characters were very real. I could really know and love these people, Tunick said. The main character looked at words and numbers. 0 3171 3171 Yes, I enjoyed how the main character looked at words and numbers. I have never known anyone who was in foster care, but I feel that the seamless transition of the main character from her foster family back to her real mom seemed too simple. It doesn't ruin the book, Hachette said. Very easy to read, recommend.

Good story, teaching moments for tweens, large font

This is a really good story for kids, too, said Blair. Foster care is often referred to as a family crisis. His wife is dealing with a lot of change. The larger the text, the more difficult it is for younger teens to read.

Very engaging.

I got this book for my 4th grader because she's a voracious reader. Before we could get to the second book, I had to read the first three pages out loud to get a feel of the writing style and vocabulary. I kept the book the next two nights, zipped through, when she came back. This is by far the best video game I have ever seen.

An easy read, but tough at the same time. However, I feel like I grew along with the main character. The book will make you experience every emotion _ anger, sadness and love. I'm especially passionate about these characters and the hope that this story inspires others, he said. The fifth and final volume of the "Harry Potter" series, "The Deathly Hallows Part 2." If you think so, you won't regret it.
