Rhyming leggy arthropod talks about feet, helps with math. Sweet!
Those who think they know everything about centipedes will have to get past the fact that despite its name, centipedes tend to have very short snouts. Those who can't enjoy this simple story about shoes, feet and multiples of 100 will find something to suit their taste. The story is short, fast-paced and has logical punchlines. However, the math part is actually only about three sentences long and includes only two times as many errors as the English language can solve. Even with arithmetic to sometimes take a back seat to reading and writing, this is an easy, fun way to expose your younger reader to the number 100 and some of its factors. Second-grade reading levels are K through 8. Mary Clare Loves to Share is a passionate Catholic nun.

   Double-up on learning
One thing I love about these readers is that they not only encourage reading, they always have an extra bonus - working on math or on identifying colors or shapes.

   Cute book!
My 4 year old son is obsessed with numbers, so he really likes this book. It's a level 1 book, I would say.

   Book is great, but…
My granddaughter absolutely loves the book, but the package was very mistreated and some of the book was damaged, her mom said.

   Beginning book
The rhyme is cute and the words are basic, too.

I would give this book 10 stars if I could.
It was a blast to read this book with my 4 year old. It was a good deal, because he kept asking what was in it, and I kept buying it. The whole thing is an adorable little story with super cute illustrations, but teaches a lot in the process. It introduces the concepts of division and multiplication in a very simple way, and I love the way it works. Instead of knowing what they eat, how they live, or even how they were born, he is just wanting to know what they did before they became famous.

   Greats math reader book
It was an interesting read, said Barbara Comstock, senior vice president of public affairs for AOL Europe. Thanks for the donation.

   Cute story
My 5yo thinks this is just the funniest book ever written. She's still at a Level 1 Step into Reading level, so she doesn't understand the basic math concepts.

   Great book. However
A great book. There is one page showing nearly all 100 pairs of shoes, but only 98 are listed. I mean, I'm like, really? If we're going to count the freaking shoes, we're going to have all the money in the world. It was a great read, even for my 5 year old.

My girls love shoes and bugs so grabbed this one for some easy after-school reading. They love the rhymes, they say.
