I am very grateful for this book, it helped me through a unsettling season of menopause, empty nesting and moving from the mission field after living in India for 25 years, to learn more gratitude for the small things in a mother's life, to help me keep our sanity. I love the end on serving. True leadership And I love the way you describe things so uniquely, refreshingly and a bit of humour!!! Holy Spirit - Creativity!

If you want the key to walking close to God read and re-read this debotional.
Derived From Web , May 20, 2022
It is written by a lady who understands from her heart a form of prose poetry! She has great insight into how to walk with God and know His joy through her own very difficult times... and how to walk with Him through the ups and downs of everyday life. If you want to know how to live a joyful life very close to God, read this devotional daily and reread it again. She has inspiring wisdom that will eventually touch your life... whether you have been, or go through very difficult life challenges, or deal with the daily grind. As an older American ex-military man, I have discovered a book that I read every day and continue to do so.

Fresh perspectives.

I read the book 1,000 Gifts three times so that I thought the devotional might be too familiar. I was wrong every day I read, I am moved to a place of gratitude and grace again, changing my perspective on the challenges I might face.

I reallllllly wanted to like this devotional but I have to be brutally honest
Derived From Web , May 20, 2022
I really wanted to like this devotional, but I have to be brutally honest, I just do not like the writing style of Ann Voskamp. Previously, I owned the book One Thousand Gifts and could not get through it as an avid reader. I bought it and sold the devotional instead with hopes that it would be more to the point and consicely written. It is not. I know the message is great, I just can 't hang long enough to get to it.
