I saw this book was recommended for toddlers who are about 18months old
The book was recommended for toddlers who are about 18 months old. I was not impressed with the pictures but I read them to my son. Oh my! He loves this book. He began using the words quickly. He would say, "Fast!" Then run a few steps. One day he tried to lift a bench. I'm happy I bought this. It's one of his favorites.

One of the few cardboard books that are printed in the USA has no dangerous dyes and is cute.

Just one complaint... I wish it was longer!
Again, Boynton does it. Her books are easy to read, yet they endure time. Our child loves them and requests them a lot. We have a lot of books. This one is innovative because it's teaching both sides of the same thing. Look at the cover. It's showing heavy and light, and instead of just showing a big elephant and a small one, it shows an elephant and a rabbit. It's teaching kids more than just opposites, it's teaching in relative terms. I would like it to be longer.

   Simple, Cute, Educational
The book is very easy to read. It is the only book we have that teaches our children about opposites.

   great with voices
My 8 month old has no idea what's being said, but he loves the pictures, and I read in voices for each side. It is an example fast and slo.

   Informative book for students
I found the book to be very informative and effective as a teacher, and it was especially helpful in communicating and introducing opposites to my students. It's a good recommendation!

Another great one for our collection!! 👍🏼
This is a great book to teach toddlers about opposites. My son has a speech delay. I like that the books have funny illustrations and are good for teaching new words. My son likes Moo, La La La, The Going to Bed Book, and now this one. I like to read the story a few times, especially when it is brand new, and once he is familiar with the wording, I will leave the last word off and wait for him to finish the sentence. There are only 2 words on each page of this book. He has learned to say slow, tall, and out. He loves pointing to the animals and making noises and it is a great read for teaching new words and learning about opposites. He brings it to me all the time. Hope this helps, I highly recommend it! .

   Opposites..
There are wonderful books written by and illustrated by Sandra Boynton. I've enjoyed reading with my toddler. The rhymes and fun pictures are a great way to expand his vocabulary. It's helpful because we can review animals and noises, but also adjectives, which are sometimes harder to explain to a toddler who's not yet developed a wide variety. She has many books that are requested many times.

   Great book in a series
The kids like all of the books in the series. When a little older can read the entire book, they can memorize the words. The kids read it a lot.

   Not yet a favorite
Our son loves opposites so we thought this would be a hit. Some of the illustrations are above his level of understanding. He will hopefully enjoy this book more in the future.
