This is a good book for people who like to make their own beauty products. I bought this for my mother in law who makes her own products because she doesn't like using chemical products so that she can make other types of products. This has a lot of information and a lot of recipes, but it is organized nicely. If you like a particular scent or ingredient, using the index makes it easy to find everything in the book. It's the same for different beauty concerns. It was a blow to the MOI.

The results were amazing after trying a couple recipes on my face
Derived From Web , Feb 14, 2022
I was thinking about using harsh skin care products. I stumbled upon this book and had to try it. The results were amazing after I tried a couple recipes. I used a recipe that helped to get rid of the redness in my skin and it worked. Every recipe is organic and therefore safe for your skin, there are 175 different recipes for doing different things for your skin, and the ingredients are easy to find and inexpensive. I hope to try all of the other recipes in the future. I recommend!

For younger people or entertainment, a lot of irrelevant content, repetitive recipes
Derived From Web , Dec 28, 2021
A lot of personal opinions and irrelevant information is provided by the author on 378 p. Most of the book is about scrabs, bath and others for oily skin. It doesn't have much value for the middle aged woman. Is it possible to chase awrinkle with distilled water? There is a slight difference of proportions or essential oil smell. It's costly to return a book so it goes to the trash bin.

Great book
Derived From Web , Dec 19, 2019
I love this book. The author's recipes are great and they do what they say they will do. She notes whether each recipe can be used on dry, oily, normal, etc., skin, so you know in advance which recipes are good to try for your skin type. You can have some really effective skincare without spending a lot of money. The mask recipes I like give you the same results as the expensive masks you buy in stores. There aren't many facial moisturizer recipes in the book, but you can make some of her oil elixirs, mix them with some water, and put that on your face before your high- priced moisturizer. I' ve tried other natural beauty books, but none compare to this one.

I have recommended this book to many people. I didn't find anything I wanted to make in it. There are many other things that will be fun to make, use and gift. There is a section after each category that gives you suggestions on how to gift certain items. There is a guide to the ingredients used in cosmetics that explains their use and possible side effects. That alone is worth the price of the book, as it keeps you from buying unnecessary products just because you don't know what to use, or even if you can use something else.

Very disappointed, recipes contain to many ingredients
Derived From Web , Jan 4, 2017
Most of the ingredients in the recipes are not common household ingredients, so it's very disappointing. I use a lot of essential oils and I think recipes have too much of them. A lot of essential oils should not be used by pregnant women in recipes. I wanted to make my products from scratch, but I was disappointed that they called for a chemical free base, and that some recipes required a premade ingredient.
