   Looks yummy, but not simple
I had expected a simple recipe, but it's not as simple as I thought. The book is lovely and well assembled, but more on the complex side. If you are looking for complex, it's great.

   It is simple
Many wonderful recipes are very simple and easy to make. The only problem I have is the few exotic ingredients you need to have. If you don't have a middle eastern indian market nearby, you'll have to make more Amazon purchases for them. All the recipes I have made from this cookbook have been amazing.

Love the idea, less the reality
I love Ottolenghi's approach to food and cooking, but I always find him too complicated and impractical. I guess it is more of a platonic love.

   Love the diverse recipes
Fantastic book. My first book was written by this author. There is a healthy variety with amazing flavors. Simple recipes, like the title promises.

   Great Cookbook
The cookbook has a lot of interesting recipes. It's all about fresh ingredients. There are a number of Ottolenghi ingredients that can be found in a number of recipes. I have attached a photo of the page. If you see the items in the book, it's worth picking them up. This cookbook is great for fast, delicious recipes.

There are two versions of this cookbook but they do not include the differences in the description.
I received my latest cookbook, Simple, a few weeks ago. All the measurements were written in the metric system when I opened it. Even though this cookbook is designed to be simple, it would take a lot of time to convert each measurement. The Simple cookbook has two different covers on it. The difference was what? There was no explanation for the difference. The Simple cookbook I received in the mail was different from the one I pre-ordered. The measurement were in both Standard US and the metric system when I opened it. Simple's original purpose is to provide simple, wonderful recipes. Be careful, buyer! !

Ottolenghi Loyalist, but Disappointed with This One
I own all of Ottolenghi's books, but this is the first one I've sold. I immediately wanted to make a recipe from this book, but it failed to grab me. Many of them didn't sound good. It didn't have the same heart and soul as the other books.

   Proper title
I can't wait to eat my way through this book, it looks amazing and I can't wait to read it. It is the same as the title says. While some of the ingredients take a little research to procure, they are worth it and a lovely way to introduce your palate to other flavors while being -- simple.
