I expected the book to have SOME biographical elements, but it reads like a list of vocabulary words. Could have been SO much richer with a little insight into HOW DVF OWNS IT herself. Beautiful colors and graphics, but weak narrative. PS :

Huge disappointment

As others mentioned, it is a dictionary, not a book. I am shocked that this has been released. Very disappointed because I love the concept of the title, but a book can not just be a title!

Not What I Expected, But That's Okay

Haven 't we heard enough of DVF's life story yet? The fact that this isn 't another memoir doesn 't bother me either. This is the kind of book that one reads fast the first time and then puts on the nightstand for a short inspirational reading over time. Read one of her dictionary words and ponder what it means for her life. I believe that is its purpose.

What a let down!

This was a real disappointment for me. Diane von Furstenberg is one of my favorite fashion designers, I have respect for her and much admiration. I studied her at university and was excited to get a further look into her motto of life that helped her build her world as a successful designer. I was shocked when I opened this book for the first time. I feel that this book fell very short of what she claimed to be the intention of the book. I found this alone disruptive to reading. A book already separated by colors and words was more like a child book than for a mature insight into her beliefs and mottos. I return this!
