   Toddler loved it!
We thought it would be a nightmare to take our toddler off her paci. We got her down to using it only during naps and bedtime. I read her this book many times for a week and wanted to read it over and over again. After a week a night, she never asked or fussed for her Paci and then went to sleep without. After that she never used it again except when she got a really bad stomach virus and nothing would soothe her, so we gave it to her for a few minutes to help her relax. But we were done with it after all! I think that book helped a lot.

This book is helping my grandson get rid of that pacifier and he is just about weaned from it. Thank you!

not one image of a child throwing away a pacifier...
i need more? This book does not say much more than what a parent would already say to their child about giving up the binky. There are some nice suggestions about mouth-feel alternatives, but i'm pretty sure that toddlers need a visual to really drive the point home about their pacifier really going bye-bye for good. My binky daughter and I are working on limiting her 2yr-old use. While kinda cute, this book has not influenced the process in any way and is pretty far down the list of her desired reads on any given day or night. This does perhaps work for others, but any progress we have made has not been due to this book. It will make a good book drive donation. -- an aside as a parent, I am learning to be skeptical of adults who review baby products on Amazon without making any reference to children in their lives.

Good for kids who use the pacifier all the time
It gives good tips about what you should do now with your mouth that it will be empty. It also refers to the pacifier by several names, which is really useful. Good for children 2+.

   great!
It was a huge help in bringing our 2 yr old to give up her binky. Didn 't mention the binky fairy at all, which we appreciated.

   Pretty good book
I bought this book to help us stop our toddler from being frustrated with the Passy, and I am not sure if it has helped or not, but it is a cute book!

   Incredibly helpful
This book is incredibly helpful in the process of weaning off your child from the pacifier. My daughter is 2 and used her pacifier for naps and at night, but it was just time. We did not want to do it by the cold turkey and were looking for a more gentle transition. During my search, I found this book on Amazon and decided to give it a try. We actually started reading the book a few weeks before actually trying and by the time we gave it a go, our daughter understood. She wanted to be like the big kids in the book and put her Paci in the trashy. We were pleasantly surprised that it was not as difficult as we anticipated by using this book. Would recommend to anyone looking to try the Paci in a more gentle and gradual way.

   It worked!
I ordered this book when my son turned 2 in hopes of weaning from the pacifier use at bedtime. It did not work. He was not interested. We read it and he kinda gave me a side eye as he sucked harder on the pacifier. A year rolls around and he grabbed it for bedtime that night. We read it for a week at his request. By the end of the week, he said that he was ready to say bye binky '' and he didn 't need it anymore. No drama or trauma involved. He was only allowed to have it at bedtime after 18 months old, but I am so glad that I didn 't force him to do it earlier when he was able to do it on his own.

Two nights and he was paci free!
I would read this to my 2 year old thinking that I would be reading it over and over again. Nope! Nope! After night 2 of reading the book, he decided to throw Paci in the trashy! He was so proud, he was so proud. I stuck with it and every time he asked for the pacifier, I said, threw it in paci and left it at that. The first few nights were rough, but after about 4 days he was paci free!! Cannot recommend this book enough! Totally worked!

   Not Worth It
I have 3 degrees in child development and this is subpar children's storytelling and I was hoping to find something that could help support the transition away from a pacifier. This was not it. Not by a long shot, I give one star for the representation of different kinds of children, it glazed over the act of parting with the pacifier and mostly gives examples of what you can do during the day with your mouth. But it doesn’t support conversations or internal processing for toddlers about feelings or experiences with saying goodbye to a pacifier. There are only a few occasions where you actually see the pacifier and I am not confident that my child made the connection that this book was about pacifiers leaving their life, unfortunately, this was a total waster of money.
