Guess what? "HARDCOVER" is still bound with the "PLASTIC COMB"!!!
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
The plastic comb version fell apart, so I swapped it for a hardcover version. Guess? It is still bound by a comb. The comb is hidden by the hardcover front, spine, and back. It won't fall apart. The book is large and the plastic comb binding is terrible, but it's not the book I loved as a child. Don't be deceived!

Binding is terrible but awesome book
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
My daughter really likes this book. The page that rattles is special. Every review of the binding is correct. It is awful. I used yarn to hold it together after taking off the binding, and she loves it because she likes how the yarn feels.

Love the story - not the construction of the book!
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
I bought this book for my 10 month old grandson. I was hoping the regular edition would have a better binding. The comb binding had separated from the book after I picked it up. I tried to put it back together, but it was almost impossible because the cover has two holes for each tooth and there are 14 teeth to fit back in. Amazon is good at returns. I will get the cheaper version and not worry if it is destroyed.

Great story, but book falls apart
Derived From Web , Jan 25, 2022
I can't give it zero stars, so I gave it one star. When I closed the book, I realized that the entire bookstory insert was missing from the cover. It was very poorly made. It's so sad. I'm trying to figure out if I can hot-glue the binding or get rid of the plastic and lace the book. This hurts.

An oldie but goodie book for baby!
Derived From Web , Aug 16, 2021
This book was used on my daughter. She really enjoyed it. As a soon to be great aunt, this book was given to the newest member of the family at any time. Some of the classics were offered.

I Wish Amazon Would Stop Using Mailing Envelopes
Derived From Web , Nov 23, 2020
I like this product. Pat the Bunny was with my son's babyhood. I want to buy it for a new grandchild. It was four stars because it was sent in a mailing envelope that did not have a bubble wrap interior. A small stuffed rabbit and a book are placed inside a box as a gift. There is a box with words on it. When one side of the box is damaged upon arrival, how does everyone else feel about the gift? I wouldn't have selected this item with the damaged box if I'd bought it in person.

Dated content in wimpy spiral binding
Derived From Web , Sep 19, 2020
The pictures are simple and the texture is engaging. Good for little kids. It is very old. The kids have blond hair and blue eyes. The girl wears a dress and looks like a dads beard. It is strong enough for young readers. My first child was given a smaller copy. The kid was easy on books. I got it out for my second child and it was destroyed within a week. The spiral binding is not a chance. I thought it would be different. It is in a box with a few extra pages.

The binding lasted 1 hour
Derived From Web , Feb 26, 2019
I thought I'd try it because the book is a good read, even though others say the binding doesn't last. The cheap binding on the book is beyond me. It's hard to keep the pages from falling out. The book came apart after my 2 year old got hold of it. If you decide to buy this, you should be prepared to replace the binding. That's what I plan to do.
