The buoyant and brainy Mexican cooking authority (New York Times) and star of the three-time James Beard Award-winning PBS series Pati's Mexican Table brings together more than 150 iconic dishes that define the country's cuisine
Although many of us can rattle off our favorite authentic Mexican dishes, we might be hard pressed to name more than ten. Which is preposterous, given that Mexico has a rich culinary history stretching back thousands of years. For her newest book, Pati Jinich brings home the signature recipes that home cooks, market vendors, and chefs have shared with her as she crisscrossed her native country for the past decade.Pati Jinich Treasures of the Mexican Table: Classic Recipes, Local Secrets is 400 pages long.
Pati is the real Mexican treasure.

I enjoy watching Pati's TV shows on PBS. I have made many of Pati's recipes. I decided to invest in her latest book because my family has really liked them. I was glad I did. I didn't know Mexican cuisine was so varied. The country has its own tastes and traditions. Pati searches for the best things to do in each region. There are many interesting recipes in this book, each with a little background story. That's what makes her cooking so interesting. There are easy to follow instructions in the book, with recipes written for the home cook. Pati includes suggestions for substitution where she uses an ingredient that is hard to find in the US. I am happy to have it in my collection.

Pati's Best Book Yet!!
Derived From Web , Dec 11, 2021
My wife and I love Pati Jinich. When she's in Austin, we watch her PBS show, purchase her cookbooks, and attend her cooking classes. The Treasures of the Mexican Table is her best book yet. The book is heavy and beautiful. It's stuffed with great recipes, outlined carefully and easy to follow, together with helpful notes. We are going to make one of her recipes this weekend. This is the book we like the most for holiday gifts.

Epic cookbook!
Derived From Web , Dec 5, 2021
I bought the book as a gift for my daughter. I know that her recipes will be legit because I am Mexican and I love her show on PBS. I was pleasantly surprised to find that many of the recipes I found were family recipes and ones that aren't often found outside of certain regions. We never got around to sharing specifics for some of the recipes after my mom's death. There was a beautiful surprise. In addition to sharing information about the origin of the dishes, she goes deep into the richness of the cuisine of Mexico. The book will become a part of my collection.

Gorgeous Book Brimming with Recipes that are Irresistible
Derived From Web , Nov 28, 2021
I was very excited to receive my cookbook. I couldn't eat another bite until I opened Pati's luscious cookbook, and I thought I was full. I am a fan of Pati's PBS show and her previous two books, but this really feels like the compendium of her greatest hits. It contains her easy to read recipes, beautiful photos and instructional boxes that give you tips, or the history of a specific ingredient, or alternative cooking methods. I like learning more about how to prepare, cook, and store the ingredients. This is more than a book with recipes. It travels through Mexico, geographically and historically. This is the last cookbook you will buy this year. Your family and friends will love it. There is a lot to digest and enjoy. I couldn't recommend this cookbook more highly.
