So good!

I loved this book very much. The author did a great job of building up the tension. Chefs kiss was the way it bounced from present to past vacations. When they wish they could read a book for the first time again, I understand their feelings. The book gave me butterflies. I will always be looking for a book that gives me the same feeling as this one. The stars are in this one.

Like plucking petals from a daisy
Derived From Web , Jan 7, 2022
When one wants something that seems out of reach or impossible, it's easy to lose sleep over rethinking one's action or inaction. The author slowly and patiently draws in the reader the themes of desires, unspoken and unmet It's a great read for people under 50 who are still unsure of which direction to take and people over 50 who are happy with their choices.

Not Bad
Derived From Web , Dec 7, 2021
The book was okay. The characters were believable, but not my cup of tea. I was hoping for something a bit more like The Unhoneymooners for a vacation romance. A decent read. It felt like a fair amount of the emotion was left unsaid. Even if I could understand the tone of the scene, I felt lost. There are some funny things, but nothing that made me laugh out loud.

slooo…oooooow burn

The book was very sweet, but it was slow. I liked it a lot, but I didn't need the flashbacks. 70% of them were not necessary for the story. I loved Alex as a character. I liked his dreamy hazel eyes and his nerdiness. They battled with relief that things were finally coming full circle, even though I got my feelings at the end. Maybe I will read the next book of this author.

Fun, complicated romance
Derived From Web , Nov 3, 2021
I enjoyed reading the novel. It was a departure from the literary novels I usually read. I loved the journey, but it was predictable. It goes back and forth from the first time the main characters meet to the present day. It is from the woman's point of view, but it does a good job of letting the reader in on the man's perspective as well. It is a fun read.

A basic, but fun read
Derived From Web , Sep 27, 2021
I enjoyed reading this book while on vacation. It wasn't a masterpiece, but it was enjoyable. The dialogue was natural, and though I'd classify it as a rom-com, it didn't have repetitious descriptions of handsome men and love making, that many romance novels do. The characters were likable and I was rooting for them. I would recommend it for a light read if you're looking for something easy to pass the time with, but with a happy ending.

2.5 stars at best
Derived From Web , Jul 25, 2021
I don't understand why this book is recommended all the time. There were a few parts that I liked, but it wasn't enough to make up for the rest. I had to finish it myself. It is not one I would recommend and I wish I had bought it on my kindle.

Poppy and Alex best friends or lovers?
Derived From Web , Jul 24, 2021
The romantic rom com was beautiful. It was enjoyable, funny, and lovely. They were soulmates from the beginning, but didn't know it yet. Alex was waiting for someone to see it. The explorers traveled all over the world to see that they are crazy for each other.

Boring IMHO
Derived From Web , Jul 14, 2021
I had to read the whole book because it was a book club read. There was too much mind numbing rhetoric in it. It was boring to discover themselves and their demons.

A solid F
Derived From Web , Jul 12, 2021
I still have a few pages to go on this, and it is terrible. If I could go back, I would choose something else, because I needed a cleanser after all the thrillers I have been reading. I think this is a book written for a very young audience. I was going to throw this book into the ocean if I had to read about Alex again. The rest of the banter is awful and the narrator just gushes about Alex, who is the most gratingly unrealistic male character ever written. Save your money and time. Do not be like me.
